Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @phortun:

Sculpture of Jan Zizka, a prominent Czech army leader and warrior, riding a horse at the Vitkov National Monument in Prague. Measuring 9 m in height and 9.6 m in length, it is the third largest bronze sculpture in the world. It was installed on the Vitkov Hill in 1950 and has been one of the most iconic Prague sculptures ever since.

This “flat” image shows a detail of the exterior of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. You can see the flying buttress of the cathedral. This is a typic element of the religious Gothic architecture. It allows to built higher structures with a lot of windows. In the foreground of the image there is the obelisk of the Castle. You can also see the characteristic tile patterns of the Cathedral roof.

Great close up worth featuring as main entry today. Thank you so much for your support. Tomas

The main square in Kromeriz, a beautiful historic town found in the Zlin Region. The town is famous for its spectacular Castle Gardens that were added to the list of the World Heritage Sites in 1998 but I can say the entire center is very nice with many architectural jewels all around. I took this image today :)

PS: Thank you so much for featuring my yesterday´s entry!

View of the Mlynky Reservoir, a little dam built on the Sudomerice Stream in South Moravia. The resevoir is used for wild swimming in summer and it is also a popular spot for biking and hiking as there are many great trails around, leading through hills and vineyards. I took it yesterday :)

Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Karlovo náměstí, Nové Město, Praha 1
After the suppression of the Czech anti-absburg uprising in 1621, the country was forcibly catholized. There was a need for many new Catholic churches.
During the Thirty Years' War money was used differently. Up to ten years after its end, it began to build. This church was built between 1665 and 1678.

two legionaries

I called this photo "Two Legionaries". Both figures are very expressive. One guards another ...
The photo was taken during a sightseeing tour of Prague in the district (as seen from the sign on the wall)) Mariánské náměstí.
I hope the tourist from our group does not take offense at me :-)

Podlešín viaduct

The viaduct was built between 1872 and 1873 as part of the construction of the Duchy of Prague runway. Built of stone masonry, the pillars are lined with blocks of carbon sandstone. Bridge length of 95 m and height of 17.7 m. Preserved in its original state without modifications. In 2004 it was declared an immovable cultural monument of the Czech Republic. Inside the Prague castle is situated the St. Vitus Cathedral. The thousands of tourists who come to see the Prague castle cannot attain full satisfaction of the tour without taking a glance at the inside of the Cathedral. Different compartments of the cathedral are symbolically designed. Obviously there were several glowing candles😊.

I was asked to remove my cap as a sign of giving reverence to God👐.
Make a step, visit Prague castle🤗

Břeclav is a town in the Moravia, South Moravian Region, Czech Republic. In the area of the town several localities have been discovered which were settled in prehistory. Of these the most important one is called Pohansko southeast of the town, that became a significant grad in Great Moravian times. In the 10th century it was abandoned; today there is an archaeological site with an exhibition.

Prague is called the city of hundred towers, but it could be called the city of hundred bridges as well.
The capital has many towers and is similarly proud of many bridges and boards. The authors of Prague Bridges Encyclopedia have counted more than three hundred of them.
