What a wonderful post you have here... and SO true when you say:
This is one of the reasons my other half and I have started so many of the various "projects" outdoors. Now... that isn't to say they will all get done lol... but it gets us outside, moving... Your photographs are wonderful!! Sweet Williams... with a butterfly... Bumblebee on the petunias... seeing these images, thinking of those wonderful smells, makes me feel like home :)

I love this idea and it opens up loads of possibilities for posts.
I'll keep an eye out for those fireflies but I don't know where they hang out in the UK?

Fireflies are one of the magical parts of summer for me! When I was a kid we would catch some on a summer evening and put them in a glass mason jar and take them in our bedrooms and watch them blink and light up the room as we fell asleep. I remember one time I had use a nail to punch holes in the lid of the jar so that the fireflies had air. It turned out that the holes were too big and all of my fireflies escaped into the house. My mother was not thrilled.
Haha that sounds like fun.
I checked for fireflies over here but it appears we don't have them.
We do have 'glow worms' which are actually beetles! Go figure? 😂
I'll keep an eye open in future to see if I can see some.
It must have been magical to see those fireflies as a kid.
They still sound fantastic.

I haven't yet seen fireflies . Sure am Looking forward to it. I can however hear for the first time this year a distant whip-poor-will out in the marsh this evening 😘.

Oh! I miss whippoorwills. Every summer evening when I lived further north was filled with the sound of a whippoorwill. I have never heard them here.
I'm hoping it is a good firefly year. Their numbers have been noticeably down for the past several years.

Funny how you speak of going out before you sleep to look up at the stars. I was struck by the daylight in your shots. They look so real to life. Excellent light captured:)
Thanks! I had intended to end the post with a nighttime photo and forgot. I had a night shot on my first attempt and then did something and lost the draft and forgot to add that photo on my 2nd effort. Of course the post I lost was much better!
