Tonight on The Dancing Dreamers with DJ Damashii: How Raving Helps Military Veterans Find True Healing and Facilitates a Healthy Reintegration into Civilian Life!
Hey everyone, DJ Damashii here! Tonight's episode of The Dancing Dreamers with DJ Damashii will be all about military veterans in the EDM community, and how we have managed to find a true sense of healing through raving. That's right, we. I don't think I've ever mentioned this on the show before, but I am, in fact, a veteran myself.
I struggled with PTSD and other issues with reintegrating into the civilian life after I got out of the military, and nothing that I tried seemed to really stick. It wasn't until I started raving again and discovered the true meaning and significance of this powerful scene that I realized I was finally on the path to true healing and acceptance.
I decided to make this the theme for my show tonight because I recently found out that one of my friends from my time in the military had recently succumbed to his demons and chose to take his own life. I'm still having a hard time processing it all, but the news of his passing reminded me that I, too, was in a very dark place for a very long time after getting out of the military, and I, too, had considered taking my own life on more than one occasion.
Understanding the true healing powers of the rave now, I want to discuss this on the show in the hopes that any of my brothers and sisters out there who are currently fighting their demons and struggling to keep the hope alive, will learn about the impact that the Electronic Dance Music scene has on us. Upon learning this, I hope they will at least look into checking out an EDM festival near them and seeing if they, too, can find the same kind of healing that so many of our fellow veterans have been able to find within the walls of the rave.
The second hour of my show, as usual, will be open for guests to come on and talk about their raving experiences. For tonight, I have specifically invited a few veterans to come on the air, so I am hoping that they will be able to make it onto the show to discuss their own experiences with finding healing through raving.

What is The Dancing Dreamers with DJ Damashii?

The Dancing Dreamers with DJ Damashii is the first Steem blockchain-related radio show that focuses solely on the Electronic Dance Music culture and lifestyle.
The goal is to shine a light on the true significance of EDM and really highlight the human face of the EDM scene, to combat this popularized stereotype that we are all just a bunch of irresponsible kids trying to escape from the problems of the “real world” for a few hours.
The show will discuss the deeper spiritual and philosophical themes and ideas that underlie the entire EDM culture and dig deep into how Electronic Dance Music connects us to a time in the distant history of mankind, when we were connected to each other and unified through tribal gatherings, sharing our dreams with each other and working together to make them a reality.
In keeping with the show’s name, The Dancing Dreamers will also feature Steemians who attend EDM festivals and events, and discuss their experiences there, as well as their hopes and dreams.
A wide array of Electronic Dance Music will also be played throughout the show, both “mainstream” tracks and original tracks by musicians who are on the Steem blockchain. If scheduling permits, EDM artists on the blockchain will also be featured on the show, where they will have a chance to talk about their music and share their stories with listeners.
I also plan on talking to people who are organizers of EDM events in their respective communities, and discussing their efforts to keep the scene alive and thriving on the local and underground level.
