In this post I shall give a transparent breakdown of the funds used on bid bots along with a calculation of the "profits" for the following relevant post (for the purposes of this series):

Have You Heard About The "TOO NUTS" Show Yet?

Note: For those who are not yet familiar with this series, I wish to make it very clear that the Steem I used for all of these I purchased with HARD EARNED FIAT which didn't fall from the sky.

TOTAL PAID TO UPVOTE BOTS: 770 STEEM

PROFIT = 45.316 STEEM

Paid to fellow Steemians from this post:

Total paid in curation rewards: 203.75 STEEM (in SP)

For those interested in seeing the figures as shown at the bottom of the post, here it is:

The undeniable facts and figures listed above:

I risked 770 liquid Steem,

Made Just over 45 Steem, roughly just over 5 %

of which 409 Steem was at the end of it all in Steem Power = 50% (SP takes 13 weeks to turn back into liquid)

an additional 204 Steem also went into SP via the Curation Rewards

The post itself was at the top of the "Trending" page for about 1 day.

Again, these figures are facts as per the referenced post and are not an indication of anything that anyone can expect when using "Bid Bots".

Understand that the figures being shown here are for a series of posts in which I shall exclusively list only facts, no opinions, no theories, just cold hard facts.

At the end of this series readers shall have at their disposal various facts and figures along with relevant links all of which are exclusively relevant to "Upvote Bots" in particular those that we refer to as "Bid Bots".

Yours truly

Sort:

I think you can get lucky with them, but a quick look at "Steembottracker" will show you the ROI on all of them. For the most part though, you are not better off unless your post catches the eyeballs of some prominent people.

Then again, I have had articles naturally go 'viral' once discovered by manual curators and it starts to spread naturally. I bought some upvotes, making a small loss on the investment, but boosting the views.

For the most part though I think it depends on the quality of the post in question.

For me personally, I avoid them. I do delegate to those things that pay a guaranteed return, as small as it is. Sometimes they are attached to upvote bots, which while small, still generate Steem daily regardless of whether I post anything or not.

Yep, I'm doing this series in a step by step process, these recaps of finances for a few of the posts that are relevant to the facts and figures that I am posting (and am yet to post) shall make things a lot easier to understand and likewise for anyone who wishes to discuss these topics in future to refer to.

Hence why I am trying my best not to touch on opinions or in any way be "judgemental" on any of the "views and opinions" that people express based on whatever arguments they may have to back 'em.

This series shall serve people on both sides of the fence, depending on what they are trying to make a point of.

But unlike to date, it will be there, hands on figures and stats and facts, not "theoretical data"!

;)

Yeah, that's a good idea.

Thank you so much for participating the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!
