What is Doxing ? Why You Must know about it?

Social media provide lots of strength to the people so that they can raise their voice on any issue. on social media most of us give our opinion on critical issue as well, Giving opinion of critical issue over social media may put you in trouble. In this post I will talk about Doxing, and its consequences.

Doxing is defined as ‘’ gathering the personal information via the internet and make it to public with an intention to harm the person’’. I want to explain Doxing with an example, In India if you see Indian politics you will find there are two wings one is left wing and other is right wing. Left wing support communism and Right wing support Capitalism, It is not possible to explain Left wing or Right wing in his post for more info you can search over internet. 

Most of the social media especially Twitter is left supportive because Twitter banned more Right Wing follower account than Left wing. Let me explain with an example. For example a person from right wing opposing or arguing with view of left wing, if left wing unable to defend it argument then they do Doxing or mass report that twitter account to Twitter Inc.

There are the cases when people have lost their job due to Doxing or physically harm by group of people. To prevent yourself from Doxing it is always recommended not to provide your opinion over social media over complex or sensitive issue.
