Ecosia: Web Search Engine Committed to Environment Health
We use google in general to find answer of our search query, Google have largest market of Search Engine share over Internet. Google's main revenue comes from search result advertising rather than their premium services like Google App. We search over google, share our data and google make money with our data not give anything in return.
As per study it shows that a single google search is equivalent to Turing 60W bulb for 60 second. if you search over internet you will get more data about energy consumption on a single Google search. . Google also not sharing its profit to improve the health of environment.In this post I will talk about Ecosia Search Engine that donate 80% of its profit for tree plantation.
It is misconception in most of us that only automobile sector or Industry is responsible for harmful emission of gases that is damaging our environment health, In fact internet is also not green, As per study it shows that a single google search is equivalent to Turing 60W bulb for 60 second. if you search over internet you will get more data about energy consumption on a single Google search.
Google data center are like thermal power plant and require cooling, Google is also responsible for emission of CO2.It is good idea that search engine like Ecosia committed towards environment, and donate its 80% of search profit for tree plantation. You can trust transparency of Ecosia because every month it publish its finial reports.
In April 2018 Ecosia donate more than 340000 pound for tree plantation and 74000 pound for future advertisement. Ecosia is very transparent, it disclose its employee salary including freelancer. As per my point of view switching to Ecosia is not a bad idea as a search engine committed towards environment.
