This is Pier A in Battery Park, overlooking hte Hudson River, It was built between 1884 and 1886 to serve as the headquarters of the New York Board of Dock Commissioners , and at one stage was the home for the Harbour Police.

The Clock was added in 1919 as a memorial to the 116,000 US serviceman who dies during World War 1, and the clock is a ships clock.

From 1960 to 1962 the pier was used by the New Yoprk Fire Department as a fireboat station,
from 1992 till about 2008 the pier was vacant and fell into disprepair, but renovation commenced in 2009 asnd now it has a restaurant and Bar.

yes tattodjay that is one grand building, the current use as a restaurant and bar is perfect for the location! really nice photos!

yes JJ, I love to eat at places like that, I'm sure you guys do things like that quite a bit, nice restaurants with great views?
With my wife’s health issues she has a very limited diet so we seldom eat out these days
