Sabah Steemian Gathering 2018

For the past a week or so , there have been an increase in numbers of sabahan that is interested in Steemit. The first presentation i help setup to get sabahan to get into steemit was 5 month ago. It was roughly a month plus after i joined steemit and after returning back from Korea for a dart tournament, one of my trust agent in KK Mr Dinoza invited me to do a presentation to introduce Soft Tips Darts at WebcampKK . I manage to convince Dinoza to give a slot for steemit to be showcase at WebcampKK , between both is us, it hard to say NO to each other. @bitrocker2020 did a brilliant presentation there and got the ball rolling.

More or less a month later while healing after my appendicitis operation , i got @madeve and @golimbi to help me out with setting up a steemit presentation at Kadazan Dusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry. My goal and hopes then was through KCCI , perhaps steemit could be a good platform to have local native to create income and introduce their colours to the world. It was a fun and successful event. @lorenabinisolgot got the event on the local daily too.

The same evening, we drive down to Tamparuli since @bitrocker2020 and i have an extremely artistically talented kampung friends @borneoairbrush that lives there and is promoting TALAC (Tamparuli Living Arts Center). we did a presentation there with hopes that through TALAC, Local artist can have better earning for the livelihood through steemit as well as to show how talented they truly are. So for the past 4 month or so as @bitrocker2020 been around educating other malaysian and partying at lisbon during steemfest (i didnt even got a shirt) LOL. i've been a lone ranger going around kk telling everyone i met about steemit. while there were lots of skeptics , there were idiots and brilliants minds too. I presented to almost every single living soul i meet, i even told all my grab and uber driver, the aunty at the market, my mechanic/ workshop friends, tourism friends, darts friends, dad's friends , mum's friends , sister's friends, neighbor and my cat and dogs. At some point, i was concern that my friends might be thinking that i am loosing my mind.

Think about it, when you try explaining about steemit, doesn't it sounds too good to be true? it does right, no one will believe you or take you seriously. LOL . when they start talking about blockchain.... its like... whatttttttt? chainblock ? yg angkat engin tu?... mataiiiii, minta ampun.

i even got a friend who ask me "why you do tell people something that is so good like this, wouldnt you be losing out? even if i register today , you will not get anything". Well, his right and not entirely right. Think about this, if he register and makes real money, that would put food on his family table, its no cost to me and its no cost to him, but perhaps it would bring good karma to me one day. In a way, its like paying forward. How cool is that.

Then early december , simon told me steem is steaminggggg... so i check coingecko... i was like.... damnnnnn.... then i got mentally reactivated on steemit and start posting again... posting daily like 2017 will be end of the world, how much i post will determine how much sin will be deducted and recalculated when i reach purgatory.

Since then , less than a month ago i saw @viverridae got her awesome payout when steem start truly steaming, check her post about it HERE and i even blog about it HERE , oh wait. even @bitrocker2020 blog about it HERE

So now, here we are. Third Round and i think it wont be the final round. @bitrocker2020 is back and this time around we will do two event starting today and the next day. Following are the details;

Date : 7th (Sunday) January 2018
Time : 2pm
Location : Tamparuli Living Art Centre , Tamparuli, Tuaran.

Another Awesome news i would like to share is, for the past one month Sabah Steemian Community in our whatsapp group is growing by numbers. not huge growth but healthy growth. Everyone is learning to do better and quality content each day and add value to the steem community. I hope the world take better notice of us Sabahan Steemian through @teammalaysia, because you will find lovely, educating , fun and funny content from this part of the world too.

Why Am I Here

Daniel Doughty loves his community and ideas but hates writing. Steemit is a brilliant platform that would help him express his thoughts and helps him practise his writing, he hopes to get better at it.
