Growing TeamMalaysia Community in Sabah - Steemit Bootcamp

Last night we had a successful event called Steemit Bootcamp. You must be wondering what is a Steemit Bootcamp, in the past we had it called steemit 101, introduction to steemit and various names.

Over time, we decided to have it called Steemit Bootcamp so that all our events name is structured and organized. Steemit Bootcamp is a 3 hours presentation to the world of Steemit and Steem BlockChain. This is where those who have already registered and those that are new or clueless to what steemit all about comes together and get learn the basic understanding to steemit and how to go about using it. This is a free event.

After Steemit BootCamp, next level up is for those who have been on steemit for a while now understand roughly what is happening and have been actively posting but wanting more. This event is called Steemit Masterclass, This class 1 1/2 day Masterclass is generally for those that have attended the Bootcamp or already been active in steemit. In this class, they will learn more insight, tools and more importantly on how to improve themselves as a blogger.

Yesterday Steemit Bootcamp was participated by 40 participants. The event is held at AppsMillion a mobile apps training center. Thre was lots of topic that was covers;

1. Understanding and strength of steemit and steem blockchain
2. difference between steem , steem dollar and steem power
3. Understanding the difference between a centralized social media and on a decentralized blockchain
4. Success story for people transition from traditional social media platfrom to steemit
5. Delegation , Leasing
6. Upvotes , resteem , flag , tags
7. Engaging with other steemian
8. Support through steemit community offline and online
   9 . Case study of how steemit bring value to community at large, charity , meaningful projects.
   10 . Other Steemit initiatives, steem-promo , activities , blogging topic, teammalaysia , shilling, witness, etc.

During yesterday event, we get the participant to use sli.do , its an app for question to be thrown online anonymously. This is because we learn over so many times of doing bootcamp that there will be individuals that would be afraid to ask question , fearing the question is a dumb question or perhaps just forgotten about the question while there were focus in understanding a topic.

The question increases during the bootcamp and had we cover them all in total 41 questions, just before we ended the event. In short it was a successful event and this is seen when the participant express how glad and grateful there were that such event is created.

After Event , Coffee Talk with Developers , Crypto Investors and Traders

I was truly grateful that Teammalaysia Witness @bitrocker2020 manage to join us, having him there gave a boost to the community that we are building together. There were quite a number of crypto investors and traders attended that night, we extended the night with coffee talk to help give these particular group of people further insight and understanding. There were positive signs that they are now looking at purchasing more steem or perhaps could become our resident whale.

We are now also looking at doing a presentation at the local university, the beauty about doing a masterclass bootcamp is we are getting lots of differentp people with different background , who now understand the value of steemit and want the good news to be shared to others. Looking forward to do more of this and help other benefit from the power of steem blockchain too.
