Running On STEEM Podcast Episode #005 - How to Deal with Writer's Block

in #teammalaysia7 years ago (edited)

Hello, Steemians!

Another day with another podcast with me. Just me. @siren87 is busy once again. SOLOCAST!

Today I talk about writer's block and what are my tips for overcoming and dealing with it.

6 tips in total.

  1. Set Goals and Plan (check out @deanyeong 's profile where he plans to write a post a day for a 100 days straight)
  2. Find a Niche That You Care About
  3. Learn to Have an Opinion About Everything
  4. Get Inspired
  5. Write Everything Down
  6. Just Start Writing

Listen to the show to get the full breakdown and details of what I mean :)

Learn to Have an Opinion About Everything

@branlee87 this is really important bro. I've always been the person who goes 'it's nice, it's okay' for almost everything... And now it hits me that this is the reason why I'm terrible at storytelling, because I am not used to describing scenarios and feelings.

Great podcast man. Are you planning to do this series everyday?

Thanks so much for the feedback, man! Really appreciate that you follow the show.

Yeah, I was exactly the same way. And it's not wrong if that's how you are but for me I realized I was just being lazy at expressing myself.

Hahahah! I don't think I can. I'll try to work out a schedule and see what's possible for me cos I still write MMA posts and I'm not at that level yet where I'm good at both. We'll see :)

Thanks again!

good stuff man. good stuff. no 1 fan over here! hahaha. seriously need to come back every now and then just to check out the show notes. so much to read! so much to digest! all good stuff :)

Hahaha!

Thanks man!

Got a lot of good articles by the community members!

Hi @branlee87, i stumbled upon your podcast and was surprised to be featured in it! Thanks for the shout out. I must commend you for doing an excellent job with the podcast recording, as your voice was crisp and clear. If you have been keeping up to date with what's happening in the West, voice will definitely be the next big thing in time to come. So kudos to you for being one of the pioneers in this game.

PS:You may wanna record a short introduction or closing clip for that personal touch. Upvoted! ;)

Thanks so much for the compliments and for listening!

I've always loved podcasts. Still listen to a few of them til today :)

Yeah! I'm trying to get my friend to join steemIt and help me create a jingle for the intro and maybe outro! He's a very talented mixer and content creator.

Thanks so much again for the comment!

Hey @branlee87 it's an honour to be featured on here! And good job with the podcasts. upvoted you too and i think @karinzdailygrind did an excellent analysis, as usual, on your masterpiece :) The breakdowns are definitely easy to catch and your post, despite being short for the obvious reason, prompts listeners to click on it out of curiosity. Looking forward to more good production from you and those jingles ideas :D

Thank you so much!

I read your stuff along with @karinzdailygrind 's as well. It really is great content that you both produced.

Thanks for the support and hope to see everyone at the gathering :)
