Oportunidad, pescando en el mar con redes.
Desde muy temprano, incluso antes que salga el sol, los pescadores se alistan para zarpar.
Tuve la oportunidad de ir de pesca, el mar es distinto a tan tempranas horas de la madrugada, sientes el frío aire con el agradable sabor a salitre, preparas las redes y el combustible del motor, una vez que todo esta verificado comienza la aventura.
Cuando vas en altas velocidades, el mar se vuelve de cristal a la vista, el bote va cortando las olas, desplegando salpicadas de agua y un rocío que flota en el aire, llenando de bendiciones la atmósfera.
Cuando se llega a lugar adecuado los pescadores hacen una oración a la madre de los mares (Yemaya) la virgen del valle, que bendiga la embarcación con aguas calmas, piden permiso con respeto y que sea una pesca abundante. Sueltas la red por un costado del bote lentamente, la red tiene pequeños flotadores que la mantienen extendida a lo largo de la superficie, algunos pescadores le colocan lámparas de querocen, aceite o alguna fuente de luz brillante, ellos le dan el nombre de luceros, esto sirve para ver la red en el mar donde sólo se ve el brillo de la luna como fuente de luz natural, algunos dejan la red toda la noche y la recogen en la madrugada, los luceros ayudan a rastrear y recuperar las redes.
Cuando el sol sale es momento de recoger la red y subir abordo los frutos de horas de trabajo, los peces suben enredados y nos damos la tarea de irlos quitando uno por uno durante el viaje de regreso, como dice el argot pirata: con el botín abordo de la nave.
