Streemian.com to open its doors and offer a 20% discount
After many weeks of close-beta testing, Streemian.com opens its doors for more Steem users to enter. During the closed testing, 415 users have registered, 138 curators have upvoted 431,835 articles with 1,397,542 votes being produced by our curation trail. Further, 12 bloggers have syndicated 1,838 blog posts from the RSS-compatible self-hosted blogs.
Effective immediately, no invitation code is required in order to register your account on streemian.com. This offer is limited for no longer than two weeks. After that, an invitation code will be required again, with registered users having up to 20 invitation codes for their friends and family.
Streemian
Streemian is a product of ChainSquad GmbH and offers multiple services for Steemians. It offers a set of free-to-use services and premium services that can be paid for using Steem Backed Dollars (SBD).
Thus, Streemian is among the first businesses to accept SBD (only) for payment at parity with the U.S. Dollar.
The complete backend and frontend of Streemian has been written from scratch with modularity and extensibility kept in mind. It constitutes multiple plugins and workers that perform backend and monitoring tasks. The whole platform is based on piston (another ChainSquad GmbH product).

Hi! First thanks a lot for to make this cool app :) I made an account but is asking me for my Active Private Key (You can move funds with it as far as I know) or my Password(can do it too) to unlock my account.... Im not a coder or hacker, not someone who knows a lot about it but why is asking for this key and not for the just "Posting and Voting" key?

I much appreciate you taking the cautious side and I urge everyone to do the same and not blindly provide the active key (password) to any webpage (including streemian.com, which I am the CEO of).
The problem currently is that there is no way to have steemit.com update your account properly in order to allow streemian.com to vote on your behalf. The blockchain needs to be instructed to let streemian do so, and to instruct the blockchain, the active key is required.
However, some measure have been take to make live easier for the user such that users can instruct the blockchain properly by "just using" that page.
The security model for the end user is that the page's sources are hosted on a public server (github) and the source code can be easily review by developers (I urge as many developers as there are to take a look and verify the code). I also encourage every users to read the technical details on the page.
Hopefully, we will see a more closely integration with steemit.com to make live easy and secure for customers.
//edit: To make it clear: Streemian.com does not store your active key. In fact it doesn't even see your active private key. The key never leaves your browser and all the modification instructions are generated and signed in your browser!

Unfortunately the part of the process where you need "Unlock Your Account" where I think we need to provide authorisation using our Steemit account gives an invalid certificate.
I don't want to proceed any further until I am sure it is safe.
Edit:
Tried again same result. I'm not sure exactly what this means - could be a github problem? I would wait until it is resolved.
Thanks for the remark .. the page is actually github-hosted (so people can see the source code) and does not support SSL. If you remove the

I too balked at the request for private key... and if it does not support SSl I will also not provide the key.
The only alternatives that currently exist are
cli-wallet- command line wallet that comes with the steemd daemonpiston- a python command line toolWould you be willing to try one of those?

Im trying to add my blog "RSS Feeds" so it autoposts content from my blog to steemit, i am stuck where steemian says i must put token on blogpost, i did that using blogger but nothing happens, please help me, i am stuck. Thanks in advance.

Awesome. I've have a question: If I am using other voting services like steemvoter.com and the operator that I'm trailing vote the same post that I've voted with the other bot, what happens? There are some line in the code that says
if I've voted this, don't vote it? Thanks for your work @xeroc.there are a few conditions that need to be met in order for the curation trail to add your vote.
