Daughter of New York (Original)
Tell your tale in hips and rhyme,
The storied gyration a plot that follows
Down into resolution, or up into epiphany.
You're a skyward shooting stab
Of Jazz and Rock and Roll, folded up,
Rolled out and baked into Soul.
A marble statue made liquid
With the restless centuries of
A song that will not be unsung.
A riff on freedom, borders, boundaries,
Frames you and frames us all,
A picture of people unchanged in form.
You are release and paradigm shift,
A child with a savior's grace,
You Jazz-flecked daughters of New York.
Thank you for spending time here.

Good job.
Thank you
I like that imagery
Thank you, she kept striking the most beautiful poses
A marble statue made liquid
yes, I can picture this line.
