Hello #steemwars contestants and spectators! Day 5 was a day for yellow photos and everything yellow. Toward the end of Day 5 this fact began to be lost on some of you. I think it began with @swenger 's post where either as a typo or as a clever ploy to confuse the enemy, his posts says day 5 is green. Not a big deal until some other people followed along and began posting green content in Day 5. It culminated in this brilliant post where Day 4 is now Green: STEMMIT WARS Day 4 - Green: It's all in the delivery - as learned form my dad. I got a chuckle when I saw this. It is an excellent delivery too because not only is it post a few days late, but the color is wrong as well. Therefore, as the person trying to remember what color goes with what day as everyone tries to confuse me on this, I will begin a brief lesson on #STEEMWARS.

Lesson 1:

Every day has a theme. Some of you want to deviate from that theme, which is fine when it is intentional and in good taste. For example, one person picked up on red, white, and blue being the colors of the 4th of July for the USA, and substituted those colors. That's a nifty deviation, you can find @yehey's post here. However, do not expect me to award deviations better, it's really the exception where I would pick one.

Lesson 2:

@sirknight is the mastermind and battle commander determining the theme of each day, so I suggest following him, or checking his feed to see the theme for a given day. It is good that people share this with others! And it is just a typo on the green, so not a big deal... I just thought it was funny when it began deviating beyond the typo and I couldn't remember which day was green or yellow anymore either.

Lesson 3:

Newcomers often are not aware that to compete successfully, you need to join up with a national team! You can even make your own team! When you are on a team, put in your title the team you are on. If you do not want to put it in your title, you can also have a banner at the bottom, like the banner on the bottom of my post here. You can also just announce in the post what team you are posting on behalf of. It is good to mention your team so if you are the best for that day, we can award the correct team a victory in the #steemwars .

Lesson 4:

Day 6 is Green. Day 7 is "native flora, native fauna and native culture!" :) Post according to this if you want to win!

DAY 5 Results for YELLOW (I hope)

@tremendospercy displayed his gold collection along with his singing. Really, it was that he took the time to make a video for #steemwars and showed off his nice yellow collection of gold that got him the top spot. His singing probably needs some heavy metal going in the background to make it work. :)

Two people hold this spot for today, @snooway and @scooter77. @snooway had brilliant photography of yellow flowers. It was well received. @scooter77 demonstrated the color yellow, what got him into the runner-up position was the video and picture footage of the Thylacine along with his personal account of possibly seeing the creature.

DAY 6 Greenin' it up.

Many entries into Day 6 for Green. Steemwars is growing! It's grown so much that I didn't include all the good Green posts for Day 6, however, @sirknight did have a decent one of dinosaurs. If I didn't mention your post, don't feel bad, I did give it a look over.
