Meet @lukestokes, He's Got Your Back!
Luke Stokes is a fascinating person. His biggest passion is 'to help create a world that we all want to live in' and he sees Steemit as a way that this can be achieved:
'Steemit, as an example of what's possible on the STEEM blockchain, is a killer app for the mass adoption of cryptocurrency for everyday people. I hope it will continue to be a place for the sharing of ideas, dialogue, relationships, reputation, and rewards'.
This Reliable Witness is Not Afraid of Changes And He Gets Things Done!
Besides running a successful business, he is also a family-man with 3 gorgeous children and a lovely wife. After he quit his job, he spent 10 weeks in Costa Rica 'working' and surfing.
He built up a fantastic business foxycart.com, which he recently sold to focus solely on crypto-opportunities.
His plan for the foreseeable future: 'I plan to blog on Steemit, remain active as a STEEM witness, support interesting masternode projects like SmartCash and engage in more cryptocurrency trading opportunities, because if you help enough people, you'll never have to worry about money'.

How this man has time to climb the witness-tree, run a successful business and be a fantastic family-man is the riddle we all struggle to juggle with on a daily basis. Still he finds the time to interact with fellow steemers, fight for our rights, attend conferences and ensure that the steemit-platform stays stable, genuine and authentic.

I might be more excited about this than a 39-year-old should be, but having collected playing cards as a kid, this has a lot of nostalgia wrapped into it for me. I’m so very thankful to be a part of STEEM and to have so many people appreciate my contribution here. :)
Yes it is exciting! Just wait until your printed cards arrive in the mail then it will really be official! They're super cool and we have found a new supplier that prints really nice cards!
I only realized the other day that you are also a Bitshares guy. I've been with that project since the Protoshares days and was quite active on the old forum there!

Yeah, I remember @billbutler telling me all about protoshares back in the day and reading all about it on bitcointalk and such. I got swept up in the FUD at the time, unfortunately. So many people frustrated by the great consolidation (and the overall decline in 2014 in general). The fact it survived those years at all is a testament to its value. At that time, I didn’t understand what it was or what it would be. Thankfully I eventually came around and have published more than a half-dozen posts trying to help people realIze how powerful that platform is. I’m proud to be a life time memeber.

This is so cool, my first trading card after collecting so many of them in the 90s as a basketball fan.
You too! I also collected them but mostly hockey cards! Some of them turned out to be very valuable. Will it happen with these ones too!
There are more valuable as they're more limited.
I still have some of my Barkley collection, some with game used shirts and pieces of basketball on them. I hope one day I can sell them for a few bitcoin or otherwise I leave them for my children.
That's one of the reasons why I wanted in on this project. I loved collecting them and had thousands, to be allowed to create them now is so cool! That's why I said I would do it for free.

He is certainly a well respected Steemer!
Luke is by far my most favorite Steemian. He's more than just a Steemian though. The entrepreneurial spirit within him is abundant and benevolent. He is no doubt a geek of the internet for a long time but that is not the best thing about him I think.
The best thing about Luke, in my opinion, is the person he is for the world and other people; especially his own family. Every husband and father can take a leaf out of Luke's life and build great relationships.
Glad you covered him because you are one of my favorite Steemians too.

Steemains far and wide testify @lukestokes as being a modest steemian who works tirelessly to see this place grow for good of us all. He delegated some thousands of sp to deserving communities and supports worthy projects without demanding for a kickback. I had had an encounter with him and I was blown away by his Humility despite his obvious successes on this platform.
@kus-knee your choice of @lukestokes is a very good one. He's achievements are verifiable and there for everyone to see. Not those who use media to their advantage while the do nothing in real life.
