At our private mint we release an annual 2 oz silver round title the Temptation of the Succubus. Last year we put it out to all our customers and friends to help us choose the design and we doing the same thing again this year.

Here's the story behind the Succubus design

The succubus coin is much more than just a cool image of a pretty girl (although it certainly is). The succubus image has a much deeper and metaphorical meaning to us. It represents the struggle against any form of alluring temptation that may be wrapped in a seductive package but could ultimately lead to your demise.

In traditional folklore the succubus was a beautiful seductive demon who would seduce men, once these men were seduced their health would deteriorate and they would ultimately die. It's possible you could relate to a relationship of this nature where a partner was slowly drawing the life out of you, but on an even deeper level we feel the temptation and deteriorating effects can apply to so many aspects of one's life, not only relationships.

We also feel the succubus can serve as a constant reminder to understand the deeper meaning of anything and ensure we are not blinded by it's beauty or allure.

Lastly we also draw great strength knowing we have overcome challenges and temptations in our lives to breed character and form our personalities. This ultimately led us to our first release titled "Temptation of the Succubus"

The time is finally here to pick a design for our 2018 Temptation of the Succubus 2oz Silver Round.

This was a very fun way to design the round last year and it was great to have everyone's involvement in choosing and refining the art.

Once again we have contracted the amazing designers at 99designs and have over 20 excellent designs to choose from.

We have them all showcased in 3 separate polls linked below, they are all original works in various stages of completeness. Please judge the overall design as there is still lots of time to work with the designers for edits.

It also really helps if you leave any feedback, edits and comments within the polls as we can take that to the designers going forward. (so if you really want the horns, be sure to tell us)

At this stage we have a couple days to narrow it down to a top 6. We then have 3 days for designers to proceed with edits and changes and we'll come back to everyone for a final round of voting to pick the design for the 2018 Temptation of the Succubus Silver Round. After the final round there is still time for final adjustments to the design as well.
