My Favorite Junk Silver Deal!!!
I recently purchased a $10 face value bag of junk silver from boldpreciousmetals.com. I was very impressed with it. They shipped the same day I ordered. When I opened the bag I was pleasantly surprised to see that I got a mixture of half-dollars, quarters and dimes.
The coins were in decent shape, no overly warn ones at all. I really enjoyed getting a mixture instead of all one kind. Junk silver is fun and cheap to stack. This $10 face value bag contains approximately 7.15 ounces of silver and I paid $0.29 cents over spot.

I prefer to find my junk silver from coin hunting but at only $0.29 cents over spot this wasn’t too hard on the old wallet. What exactly is “junk silver”?
Junk silver is any pre 1965 quarters dimes or half dollars. They were made with 90% silver. I am not sure why they call it junk because it is anything but junk.

After reading this I want to go find my 'can' of coins and collected paper money from travels. Finding it will be like a treasure hunt. I don't think I have seen in since we moved in but it is here somewhere. I want to see what I got. I think I will stop in our little bank too and see if they have any half dollars and silver dollars. I enjoyed this and I love seeing that your kids are involved :)

That seems like a pretty good deal and you cannot beat $0.29 over spot. I like the junk silver and want to get some. Have you found any silver dollars or is it mainly smaller stuff?
It has mainly been half-dollars. I have found a few dimes and quarters but have had best luck hunting half dollars.
Is this the best way to stack silver?
Not sure there is a best way. Any silver is good silver in my book. This is a cheaper way and I enjoy the different coins. Great question
