For those of you who do not know @nomadics is a relatively new participant to SSC. I'm really diggin' what he's bringing to the table! His distinctive video montages and logos and all around presentation are something to be highlighted, rivalled and feared. It's interesting to see the scope these past few weeks range from super conservative to multimedia style presentations for entries. To clarify, there is value in both and everything in between!
Great glamour shots of sandwich entries and obviously both were worth highlighting, however for SSC 1rst prize winner I'd like to focus primarily on the pancake sandwich!
Simple yet effective. I really like the fact that this creation is not overly complex. 2 kinds of cheese, which is always gouda (see what i did there ;) ) & some veggies, meat and spice. Kind of a like a breakfast omelet. Sometimes, when we simplify we are able to taste the few ingredients that much more. Furthermore, the combination of ingredients becomes that much more evident as I imagine it was the case with this entry.
I like the pancake idea, although to me it's more of a crape. Something nice and lite & fluffy containing the abundance of innards.
All and all a really great and distinctive entry among many amazing and distinctive entries for week 7!

What an idea doing the 'bread' with the cauliflower! I can imagine the lovely taste your sandwich will get with this cauliflower toast! It looks easy to make and she detailed it perfectly for anyone to have a try!
Mushrooms and spinach is the perfect match along with the Italian sausage. Simply a perfect breakfast sandwich I will say!

So wow... yet another great entry from @creativewoman. She was Week 7's Veto Voter/Second Prize Winner and managed to come up with another interesting sandwich for week 7 as well.
A refreshing open face sandwich with Braised Beef Tartine. I mean.. mmmmm. She used it as a sort of paste, lathering it on the bread. I love the addition of some refreshing veggies which were displayed eloquently and layered on top of it.
Food presentation was also excellent. Each step of the ingredients added looked artistically positioned and photographed well.
Could have also easily taken first or second prize this week.

- All I have to say is bravo to all the contestants this week. The number of multiple entries and themed entries has grown and it's giving SSC a new dimension. I'm really very interested in how everyone is pushing their own limits and in that motivating others to step up!

@jaybird: I select the winners based on a variety of parameters. Just do your thing and have fun with it. I'm considering many factors such as presentation, ingredients & originality, creativity, community opinion & artistic ability just to name a few. PLEASE make sure to follow the rules! They are easy to follow and help prevent the tragedy of Null entries!
There are now 3 prizes. Week 6 - onward First Prize = roughly 55% of the SBD pool collected
Second Prize dubbed the "Veto Vote" = roughly 25% of the SBD pool collected + the honour of selecting the following weeks second prize winner. This prize is ideally given to an entry that although it did not win the contest, showed distinction among all the other entries. This could be a feature such as it was the community favourite, it used the most bazaar ingredients, or, it was just the best looking sandiwch etc. IMPORTANT! The "Veto Vote" holder may not vote on his or her own sandwich to be selected as the second prize. However, they are still eligible to win First Prize should they enter the contest that week.
Third Prize will be roughly 15% of the SBD pool
Week 8's Veto Vote holder is: @steemit-foodie and was selected by @creative who was week 7's Veto Vote holder. Thank you both for your participation!
IMPORTANT! "Veto Vote" holders must always present their final selection to @jaybird in confidence and allow the news to be revealed in an officially "Who Won Steemit Sandwich Contest" blog post. Deviation from this method will result in a forfeit of the Veto Vote and thus, the selection will be consider null and a new winner will be chosen by @jaybird.
Veto Voters can contact @jaybird through discord jaybird#4732 or Steemitchat username: jaybird. If for whatever reasons, the Veto Vote winner does not select an entry in the following weeks contest, I will be the default second prize selector for that week.

@marcovanhassel I've got to say that this was actually among my favourite entries this week. It was simple, however pretty distinctive. No need to overcomplicate what I can only speculate was a take on @bleedpoets banana dog (maybe not). In any case, I liked the mix of fruit, cheese & hot sauce. Odd and creative, the presentation was clean and to the point. I'm realy liking this style and am expecting some great things in the future entries of this guy!
@owenwat what an interesting entry this week. Brie and blackberry...Dammit that sounds delicious. I can see this combo being offered in fancy pants french resto! I really appreciated this entries homage to a classic grilled cheese while undoubtedly stepping it up to the next level. The extra time taken grilling all 4 sides of the bread is something to be noted !
@roosterred so this was a great little entry from one of our relatively new participants. A bit of humour injected into this pokibg fun at cheating with the bread. I think it's all fair game ;) Fresh veggies and cheese and an egg, all the ingredients of a great breakfast type sandwich on a pillsbury dough bun! I especially enjoyed the "Healthy Tomatoes." That made me laugh!
There were a couple of null entires this week (which is always a tragedy) hopefully they will get it together for next week. One I would like to draw some attention to is @happyhousewife. This entry offered us a wonderful, buttery marble-cheese style pizza bagel ! The perfect snack for any late night or mid day hunger.
