Steemit Photo Challenge #23 Entry - Tobi And Niko
Friends for life - Tobi, our yellow Lab, and our son Niko, gazing in surprise at somebody.
This photo bears great meaning for me and brings oceans of nostalgia.
Niko was growing up at Tobi's side. They were as one. Tobi was so gentle to him. He allowed Niko to do everything. Climb over him, pull his ears, tail, ... OK, Niko wasn't overdoing it.
At these photos, Tobi is ten years and a half while Niko is nine years younger. They are almost the same height. They certainly have the same curiosity and playfulness. Of course, Tobi was and elder citizen at that time and was more calm than in his vibrant youth.
Tobi moved on last year. We miss him but know that his soul is now the joy of some other family. His soul is now taking care of some other child. It is the way of nature.
We accept that and are eternally proud of him.
The photo was taken on a beautiful June 12th morning in the year 2011. It is not a technical masterpiece.
It is simply the most beautiful photo I've made in my life. Today I share it publicly - with you - for the first time.
