The happiness of being a child again as a dad - unforgettable experiences you only have while playing with children

"The children know neither past nor future, and - what adults can hardly do - they enjoy the present," said the French writer Jean de La Bruyère (17th century). All I can say is: "D'accord Monsieur de La Bruyère". The children are the masters of the moment, all the happiness and unhappiness of the world happens right now, no past, no future, the kids are cultivating the philosophy of punk. And that's where I want to go again. Not directly to the punk. But to rise at the moment. And there are very specific rituals and occupations with my two daughters, in which I succeed - with their energetic help. No matter what the weather is like. No matter what the tax return says. No matter what kind of stress in the office or elsewhere is waiting for me. Here's a hit list of my favorite time-stop activities and "The-world-can-you-have-like-me" phases:

Trampo-Kicking

How it works? Quite simply: Take a standard garden trampoline with safety net, take off your shoes, inflate water polo and off you go the fun. The "rules" are quickly explained: Anyone who gets the ball in front of the foot, pulls off, as if there is no tomorrow. Can be accompanied if necessary with sports commentator phrases: "Marco Fabian dribbles through the midfield, past Boateng, pass to Maaaaaaiiiiieeeerrr and ... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL !!!!" The cheers jump on the trampoline seamlessly into the ball conquest movements. Those hits are particularly popular when dad gets the ball in the face. That gives double the score.

The singing eight

Crime scene Family Spa. After the obligatory warm-up in the small children's pool, it goes to the preserves. We get the 8-shaped slip tire and climb the steps to the giant tunnel slide. Me and the kid place us in the back, in front at the "steering wheel" and at the front rounding of the aft: my bigger daughter. Please wait until the green light comes on. Then with full power down. Sound-wise accompanied by the Mama Muh-quote: "I am a flying lube through a swimmingtube" or with songs like " we're fire fire fire riding the tire tire tire...".

Daddy ballerina

Whether "Ice Queen", "Barbie and the secret world of glitter fairies" or "Jungle Book". The credits of any decent movie include music that encourages you to get rid of the pent-up tension of the film on the floor. The question of whether I'm naturally a dancer or not, does not arise here. In the beginning I had to be literally dragged into the middle of the "living room disco". Meanwhile, I'm the first of us three, who moves the same way to the music. Okay, like a completely lethargic, rheumatic and unmusical elf, but at least with great enthusiasm.

Lets have an ice with mister "NICE" ( Daddy )

Yes, I know, there are bad sugars and all sorts of flavors in it. But it tastes good. It is part of a sunny bathing day. And as long as we do not spend more than 300 balls per season, I see no danger. Whether on the beach of Corfu or in the local outdoor pool. Between splash, slide and dive we treat ourselves to an ice cream. Out. Basta. Stracciatella. I usually stay with the traditional Cornetto, the youth now drives on slush cups in the most poisonous colors. We sit in the sun and lick or suck away all the negative thoughts, if not already fizzled after a dip in the water like the feeling in the tongue after a sip of ice-slush.

Water march, worrying about ...

Our garden has only one meaning, as we all know: it's not the ornamental plants, it's not the ecological balance thanks to increased availability of lawns. The purpose of Our Garden on a warm day is to get undressed down to her underpants, garden hose and drizzle dancing like crazy Woodstock hippies. This endorphin trip is addictive but does not cause a headache. Only wonderful memories. Try and enjoy! You do not have a garden hose? Then on to the hardware store. And make a stopover at the ice cream parlor.
