The last while of everyone dropping links on the #SteemitCampFire - is getting a bit much. I do not mind the odd one, but this kinda can deflect the purpose here - gathering people in one place and not too much diversion elsewhere.

Hi @barrydutton. I think that this is a genius idea, mate. Excellent to bring people together and a most excellent way to spend the weekend. I live in the U.K., so have been thinking of organising something here, but our weather can be very wet and windy in the winter, so would have to be an indoor affair, but still going to try to sort one out or get to one as it's inevitable that they will become more common.
Anyway, was a nice read and very inspiring/interesting.

No, I apologise. I read it whilst playing poker for SBD and was jumping between the two. I can only apologise for my apparent insincerity. I did read through it, but must have missed the whole essence, which may partly be due to my seeing a few of the meet-up posts and wrongly attached that identity to the @steemitcampfire weekend concept.
I hope that you can accept my apology, but you do seem like a very reasonable chap and I will endeavour to pop in one weekend and say hello.

Hello @hopehuggs. Thank you and yes, it went reasonably well on the whole. It's a nice little poker community of nice people at @spl, so it's a pleasure and any financial addition is a very kind bonus.
I'm guessing it's raining where you are today, or is that just Buxton again? :). Thanks for the comment and I have to go out to get some almond milk (which is annoying because I could have made my own, but given all my nuts and seeds to the jackdaws, squirrels and the likes), but will check out some of your poems and posts later on.
I've found that some things can get in the way of me posting and commenting more, but we are entering the dark and doomy cold season so plenty of indoor time to give more input and be more involved :).

A bit damp here, but not too bad. I am on the south east coast.
Might have a little go at poker myself, under controlled circumstances as have been known to be a little frivolous. I can spend £10 of 2ps in 5 minutes on one of them machines in the amusement arcades.

So how do this last week go?
I had to take my daughter to see a child psychologist, because she is taking the split and me and her Dad hard and blames herself, that was quite emotional and kind of affected productivity of the week.
But back on even keel now and it will be a good weekend.

I have 2 kids. One of my friends has three and tells me never have more children then you have hands lol.
I have two girls aged 6 and 4 and it was my 6 year old, I took to the psychologist - she makes out everything is a crisis.
My 4 year old on the other hand is really laid back .
Man wait til the 6 year old finds out how corrupt govts are and we let them all get away with it.
She is already going to revolutionize the school system!
I will keep her in prayer, she will need it.
