Level 9
Level 9 is now 100% completed. The upvotes are set at 5% for each share which is 2.5x the minimum promised 2% and the voting power holds up above 80%. The bonus on the returns will likely drop a bit the next couple rounds since most of the bigger shareholders keep a tight daily posting routine, the delegation each month becomes a smaller % of the account SP and more reserved shares have been going out to the ones that got enough Minnowshare sponsorships. The minimum numbers already give a decent return especially for the ones who have been with this project since the start. I am quite conident that the numbers will keep adding up and provide good value to all shareholders who are on this platform in the long run.

It looks like 49/50 shares are already pre-booked for each level... so I have an idea:
How about increasing each level to 75, or even 100 share blocks?
I don't know what it will do do the math or logistics, but every now and then I have some spare Steem which I would be keen on putting into @UpvoteShares - I can't commit to say 5 shares every level, so would like to keep it at just 2 shares every level... but every now and then scopping up a few more per level would be cool.
... and of course it also opens up shares to members that haven't reserved shares as well.
If you do increase the "level share counts"... maybe also consider limiting the amount that can be reserved to say 2/3rds ... and then rest is only available to "new requests".
... or maybe 50% reserved for "recurring reservations", 25% for "Next Level Reservations" and 25% when the level opens.
Again... I haven't thought through the implications of this... but it's something to consider.

Thanks for the suggestion. The model itself right now is working really well and increasing the amount of shares is not an option since it would both mess up the numbers and also highly increase the time it would take for me to move to the next level each month. More than anything @upvoteshares was designed more as a proof of concept instead of having the intention to quickly grow as big as possible.
The 2 main reasons why reservations are going out so quickly is because the program offers good value along with the unexpected low price of Steem. There is a system in place where the maximum amount of shares one can get is directly related to the SP a shareholder has powered up (40SP for each share). It is also possible for shareholders to sell their shares, this has not happened yet but will be the case at some point. These shares will be cheaper and can't be reserved.
I get your point about it being hard scopping up a few more shares on the go, but at the same time it's also the point of this project being more focussed on the longer run. I hope that all makes sense. I have been planning to make a post about the balance and deeper mechanics of the model but haven't gotten to it just yet.
