I suffered this problem, but i am doing this post to make you aware of this thing.

Did you oveserved sometime that your post reward gets down during payout.
Many of you thinking that i am talking about curation. No, i am not. I know there is a 25% curation reward for the voters.

Lemmi clear you-

Suppose this is your post reward. After getting payout, You will get 75% of this reward and 25% will go to curators.

But the thing i am talking is- sometime we see the post reward get less when we get payment. I mean here on the screenshot you have 11.74$. But after getting payout it will show you something like 9.88$(It depends, i will explain)

And from that 9.88$ you get 75% and curators get 25%. Now question is- where my 1.86$ gone? If i paid 25% curation from 9.88$ who took my 1.86$.

Did you face this kind of problem??

I faced, and i was bit curious about it. But yesterday i got the answer and now i am sharing with you.

This system is called- beneficiaries

When you will post through third party apps or website(such as esteem app, utopian-io and others) they will cut a percentage from you for the development of the app or website. This percentage is set by the developer of the app.

The percentage vary from app to app.

Such as-

• Esteem set their beneficiaries to 10%

• Utopian has 15% beneficiaries

The percentage will automatically cutten of from total amount of your post which you done through the app.
Thats why our rewards get less after payout.

So, how will you know which app has beneficiaries?

You can check it on steemd. Click on a link of a post edit steemit and write steemd like below screenshot

Then click CTRL+F for text search. then type beneficiaries. you will see the beneficiaries marked.
If you are unable to see it click on advance mode-

Here you can see beneficiaries weight of the app. This post is done through steemit thats why it is zero.

Here you can see utopian has 1500 which means 15%. Esteem has 1000 means 10%, same goes for other third party app or software.

Steemit and busy don't take any beneficiaries
So if you post through steemit and busy you will get full reward.

Suggestion for minnows

Lot of minnows use bid bot to grow on steemit. So if you use bid bot on these post you will get a good amount of loss.

So if you do post through esteem or utopian for any reward purpose, just don't use bot on them. Do another post through steemit and use on that post
