Daily Steem Price Update 8/12/2018
Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 8/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.
I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.
But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 8/12/2018
Should you be trading with Steem today..
Ok so while today we can see Steem as bounced about more it's generally more steady 👍 if it wasn't we would of reached $0.20 today but that's not to say it wont still happen. For example if we look at Bitcoin it's been a little steadier but in general today Bitcoin as still been going downwards. Yesterday there was actually a few issues with some of the exchanges, they were being really low and some even wouldn't let you move your Steem. This could be something to do with some of the recent changes in order to save on costs regardless today was a little more difficult to snag the lowest prices that were seen yesterday, and so the best time to buy was around $14.00 and probably right now as Steem was as low as $0.23 which continues to be the cheapest for this year. So yea with these prices I welcome you into this survival mode era of Steemit.com its got now bad enough that there was a staff reduction of %70 this was the news from Ned 11 days ago. This happened because Bitcoin dropped alot lately and is forcing Steem's own value to tank downward. After the announcement there was a live get-together for discussing what would happen going forward. The conclusion is to survive by cutting down costs e.g the "api.steemit.com" functionalities will be moved to the hivemind service, optimisation and moving to S3 storage, among many other strategies. There was also talk that blocktrades had a solution for helping Steem INC there was obviously a cost to doing this "I might be wrong" but think it was something like $250.000. Steem INC declined the offer and will do it themselves 👍 no problem after all this is their baby. We was also suppose to have another meeting but due to Ned not feeling well the meeting as been postponed for another week. / SBD no surprise to see it more shaken up today but honestly SBD was expected to recover to $0.60 which is surprising with the prices continuing to go downward, we did see a drop today as it did hit $0.57 this was between ⏰13.30 and ⏰14.10, the good news is we did see it recover to $0.61 a few times.

Welcome @jkenny thanks very much for your supprt Steem as bounced about more but it's generally more steady because if it wasn't we would of reached the $0.20 mark today.

Steem should be at least $28
I don't doubt that @darkflame and to be honest anything over $20 would do me fine, hopefully it will reach that in future but for now it's a good time to collect some SP just incase, thanks for the supprt.

I dont blame you if your not a buyer and understand the danger Steem INC was in it can be scary to look at the price, it may still go down further @whatisnew but atm its holding, hehe yea things dont look so bad out of these glasses lol.
