Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 30/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 30/12/2018

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Market movements are getting as suspected quiet again with the run up to New Years Eve approaching. Everybody is too busy out partaking in gathering what they need for their traditions and so when it comes to the Steem price there was not much movement. We saw a few bumps one at ⏰10.20 going down and another going back up at ⏰15.00, lastly there was the one bump which pushed Steem back to $0.26 this was at ⏰23.40. Bitcoin was relatively steady there was 2 bumps of note but none took Bitcoin back over $4000. The closest up-bump took it to $3917 while the downward movement took it to $3832. If your buying Steem today the cheapest time would be right now but there will probably be no deals of interested until next year. Experts believe that the Bitcoin downfall as come to its end and so far this might be the case, the lowest we saw Bitcoin was at $3194 and that was on the 15th if we look at our 2nd lowest drop it was $3587 which was on the 27th. Well at these prices we continue on this survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downwards causing "Steem INC" a staff reduction of %70 and a possible threat to the site. Soon after this news there was a meeting and the conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs especially nodes running cheaper among some other strategies which will still take time to implement. The good news 👍 is with the recent development Ned said we should be able to save enough money to make it through the bear market, and while this is a great relieve we still need to actually do it and survive. Steemit INC said that they are well on track to delivering the cost reductions and moving forwards with Light SMT's. Realising some of their improvements Ned said the priority is to work on the Steem network's fundamentals, RocksDB and SMT's are now the main focus. Steemit made it to the number #1 position on stateofthedapps.com. SBD done well it stayed above $0.70 for the whole day and around ⏰23.30 we saw it reach $0.73.
