Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 27/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 27/12/2018

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Well dam I was pretty much spot on, in saying we should see more movement today and I'am afraid it's probably not in the direction you wanted but firstly atleast we know what's going on and secondly while I expected a New Years fall I thought it would be a late drop "just like the one we had at Christmas" so I must say I was surprised to see Steem falling to $0.25 so sudden as this would mean Bitcoin must of had a sudden downwave. Looking at Bitcoin as you know we where kinda left guessing where it was going next for the past week, but today it broke this week's barrier and now at its lowest which was a fall from $4213 to $3577. We could already see today was going to be a down day for Steem but it looked like a normal slow fall until ⏰18.55 when Steem had it's only real downbump which took it to $0.25 and we also did see Steem at $0.24 not too long ago. I know some buyers brought Steem earlier this morning in hopes of ridding the Bitcoin upwave but it seems those who have waited till later will get the better deal, now will this continue down a little further? Well experts believe that the downfall as come to its end or we are literally at it's bottom they say we should not see Bitcoin go any lower than $2900. Well at these prices we continue on this survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downwards causing "Steem INC" a staff reduction of %70 and a possible threat to the site. Soon after this news there was a meeting and the conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs especially getting nodes running cheaper among some other strategies which will still take time to implement. The good news 👍 is with the recent development Ned said we should be able to save enough money to make it through the bear market, and while this is a great relieve we still need to actually do it and survive. Steemit INC assured us that they are well on track to delivering the cost reductions and moving forwards with Light SMT's. Already realising some of their improvements Ned said the priority is to work on the Steem network's fundamentals, RocksDB and SMT's is now the main focus. Also Steemit is in the number #1 position on stateofthedapps.com a not for profit website directory of decentralized applications on the Ethereum Blockchain. SBD had a fall from $0.76 to $0.70 but yesterday it was still holding well unfortunately of course with the recent downfall SBD did not escape and so we see it fall to $0.66, SBD behaved differently instead it fell much earlier at ⏰03.25 it recovered back to $0.70 and then started going downwards smoothly, it hit $0.66 basically not long ago, and even $0.65.
