Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 26/9/2019.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for over 2 years now.

I also want to mention incase your wondering that when something doesn't seem normal from the other regular "Price Updates" that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change their format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and so keeping an eye on the price.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price change for 26/9/2019.

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

What a surprise, well maybe.. check out that Steem drop 2 days ago, I said most likely it will revert back-up as it normally does. Looks like people didn't waste any time most if it recovered but as gone down again due to Bitcoins falling. There were signs of this drop weeks ago but didn't think it would happen now, also the SBD price had dropped and if your curious yes Bitcoins was falling and continues to fall, it will be very interesting to see what happens from here as there is some big opportunities opening up to buy Steem as Bitcoins as not been this low since around June 15th!! So down the road from me there were some workmen up on the electric poles doing what looked like "fixing the wires". I guess by now it should come to no surprise to you or me what happened moments later. Yup once again I was cut off from the internet. This was in the morning... but come late afternoon and still no internet and the workmen were gone so I called my provider. They told me they would send over a engineer the following day to which he didn't show up...Argh yup here we go again... and so fed up already with these games they play I phoned them up again to which the said they will send the engineer tomorrow instead... LOL gosh these people...Anyway I also told them about the works to which they suddenly changed their minds about sending over the engineer... Instead they promised to have it fixed by the following day at midnight. Well early morning I was still sound asleep when some dude is knocking on my door. I looked out the window and.. crap! it's the bloody engineer that was apparently cancelled walking away...argh! For some reason he walked back and I managed to reach him in time and well one hour later he fixes my internet. He explained that the bozos from the previous day didn't reconnect my cable from not one but two poles. Anyway back, now let's see how long it takes until my net goes down again. Also I have brought and added another 20 extra Steem Power to make up for the losses.

NEW-STEEM continues.

From what I can see it really was community at it's best even with all of the different changes brought in by hardfork21 it got many people closer and talking. Regardless of what people were doing many took time to login-in and check on their favourite social media website Steemit. We connected and commented-on each other's posts about what we were experiencing. It was fine for the first hour but soon after Steemit came crashing down. The Dev Team were monitoring the whole event and so the whole blockchain was restored back quickly. Funnily it was a whale who was about to test the new downvote pool a very large downvote of that size was cast for the very first time on new-steem making the blockchain crash!

Keeping this ship moving forward seems to be especially important since the HardFork21 and the 22HF switch over, this is because of both the Steemit proposal system and the new rewards curve structure as made it generally more difficult for many to gain the same rewards they did prior to the Hardfork.

HARDFORK 22

HARDFORK 22, yes it happened but before you think SMT's are available like right now they are not. A issue was discovered after HF21 and it was preventing delegations from functioning properly. This was a problem for those who were especially new to Steemit as the Steemit accounts couldn't actually delegate to the newly created accounts. The problem did go much deeper then that but I'am sure you can already tell how this was problematic start. The solution was to quickly HardFork again. But the problems didn't end there the blockchain halted again soon after a fix this time due to a bug in the new curation's reward curve. The Dev team develop a patch which did not necessitate another hardfork the actual bug it was incredibly difficult to detect. But this kind of behaviour would prompt a safety catch to stop it and luckily it did. People did ALOT of complaining about the lack of communication during the down time, still the team did put out some effort saying they were aware and working on a solution. I don't think hourly updates were needed nor dis many understand that finding the problem is not always easy or can be explained so quickly. Perhaps another message reinforcing they were still working into fixing the problem may have settled a few nerves down. The team were working their asses off there was no need for such a commotion. As for Steem INC they now continue to work on bringing SMT's and actually despite the extra hardfork22 related work the team are not far off schedule for it's release. They have recently completed work for "Specific Voting" which is a means rewarding users with the desired SMT token of choice, it's a important coming feature, and while it's a needed feature it may make thing's even more confusing for new users. Steem INC have also made a huge improvement on the signup process, I'am of course referring to their on-boarding of new users. Yes it seem that now while some accounts can be approved in as little as a few minutes Steem INC claim this shouldn't effect the quality of users they accept into Steemit.com, but please before you start complaining about a certain new bad actor remember that there will always be some who get in. It also seems that "RC pools" are on their way. I know some Steemians are eagerly awaiting for this as it could be a future source of income. The RC pool's will most likely come with the release of SMT's as large stakeholders often have tons of RCs that they don’t use. And so the idea here will be the RC delegation pools will enable large stakeholders to delegate their RC's to these pools, from which then multiple of those RC's can be distributed to other users or projects without the actual need to delegating one's Steem Power in the first place. So basically just a few large Steem powerholders could delegate RC's to thousands of users at any given time. The point is this can solve and help with the on-boarding and make sure there are enough resources to keep the blockchain running smoothly without eating into more costs. Anyway there was some discussion's that the Steemit proposal system was not being used enough by regular users, in other words not enough people are voting on the proposals or showing interest, I believe this was down to much of the community not being happy about the %10 of the reward pool being cut and going towards such a system but it seems due to some efforts by Steemit INC and "influence users" there as been a growing interest.
