Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 12/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 12/12/2018

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Steem recovers upwards a small bump today which is no big surprise I said yesterday we could very well see yo-yoing starting to happen. This is because so far Steem is getting more steady which yes is good also for going up but will depend on what Bitcoin does. Btw for buyers you had to be early today where's we have been seeing the opposite lately nomally the later it is the cheaper. Steem spent the first half of the day at $0.23 and then from ⏰10.25 onward's it mostly stayed at $0.24 but in the exchanges it still gave buyers plenty of time to but cheaper at $0.23 it was actually interesting how long it took for it to go up in price considered Bitcoin as been going mostly upwards, it went from $3331 to $3466 which still made today strangely one of the better opportunities to buy Steem out of the past 3 days. But at these prices we continue on into this survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downward causing Steem INC a staff reduction of %70 and a possible threat to the site. Soon after this news there was a live get-together for discussing what would happen going forward. The conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs especially getting nodes running much cheaper, among many other strategies which will take a while to still implement. User Blocktrades offered his solution to Steem INC but there was obviously costs to doing this, around $250.000. The offer was declined and Steem INC will do the job themselves. The really good news 👍 is with recent development Ned left a message saying we should be in a good place for our survival through the bear market, but now we just have to actually survive and get through it. We was suppose to have another live meeting with Ned but have been waiting on when this will happen next, as Ned didn't make it to the rescheduled meeting, hmm so I'am not sure what's going on here. While SBD as been generally steady today right now its been stuck on $0.61 we did see it drop under $0.60 but not as far down as yesterday when it when down to $0.57, it's really not nice seeing SBD this far down.
