Quinn's Quality Content Curation ~(~Q2C2~)~ Episode 9, New Selections That Add Real Value To Our Steemit ExperiencesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemit7 years ago

Greetings!

Today is another blessed day, and I have found some posts of great value of which will add to your success here on Steemit!

I try to be VERY selective and only list the posts that I feel are beneficial to you as an individual but also to Steemit as a whole.

I am excited to publish another Episode of ~(~Q2C2~)~ as I have new posts to share! You can check out my previous ~(~Q2C2~)~ episodes here:
Episode 1~ ~Episode 2~ ~Episode 3~ ~Episode 4~ ~ Episode 5 ~ ~ Episode 6 ~ ~ Episode 7~ ~Episode 8~

Let's get into it!

First up we have a post by @cryptoctopus titled "Steemit SEO - Today I Learned: DOFOLLOW LINKS ARE NOT ABOUT REPUTATION AT ALL"

This post is worth checking out because:

  1. @cryptoctopus has proven to be very intelligent and helpful.
  2. This is a quick and easy practical tip that, if used properly, can increase your success here on Steemit.
  3. If you want to have enough success on Steemit as a business or to live on, you need to have lots of different skills.
  4. This is just one of many articles @cryptoctopus has on improvements to your Steemit success.
  5. SEO is a bit techy and complicated but a key facet in long term success building.

Check it out!

Next up we have a post by @fraenk titled "Catching a Minnowsupport Abuser - Blockchain Sherlock Eats Copy Pasta for Breakfast"

This post is a MUST read because:

  1. I really love this community and feel the platform has the potential to be revolutionary.
  2. These scammers, copy posters, & plagiarizers are not only STEALING $ from our reward pool that could otherwise go to say @gardenofeden who feeds tens of thousands of free meals a year.
  3. They are harming the reputation and enjoyment of this platform.
  4. We need to support people who are finding and stopping these things.
  5. We need to take it upon ourselves to FLAG this stuff and these accounts to send a message.
  6. If all such cheaters were flagged, no one would do it because there would be no reward for it. They are only trying to get easy free money.

Check it out!

Next up we have a post by @aggroed. It's really only for noobs but very useful if you are one; it's titled "STEEMIT TIPS: Steemit is easy all you have to know is the following list:"

This post is worth checking out if:

  1. You're somewhat new.
  2. You hear terms on Steemit, and you don't know what they mean.
  3. You want to make SURE you know the basics of Steemit key terms.
  4. You want to check out a post that is a great example of helping people new to Steemit.

Check it out!

Next up we have a post by @ancap47 and is titled "Govt-sponsored Segwit is DOA (Dead on Arrival)....Here's why:"

This post is worth checking out because:

  1. I found this post to be VERY valuable.
  2. It has valuable info for anyone into bitcoin or crypto trading.
  3. It is simple, clear, and straight to the point with info of great implication.
  4. It is very RELEVENT right now due to all the bitcoin craziness.

Check it out!

Last up for today is by the author @luzcypher titled "Steemit Open Mic 43 - Record Your Performance On Your Phone, Enter And Win Steem - Sponsored By @pfunk And @luzcypher"

This post is worth checking out because:

  1. I feel this project is really good for Steemit.
  2. It's really good for musicians who almost always need some support.
  3. There is some good music that not only can you support, but also enjoy!
  4. Music has a way of connecting people as well as attracting masses from around the world, as it often transcends language and even time.
  5. I feel this project can help bring in a lot more users to not only participate, but also to observe. Music has mainstream appeal for the masses.

Check it out!

I hope you enjoy these top selections from this Episode 8 of ~(~Q2C2~)~

I strive to not only help the world as a whole, but to contribute value to this awesome community!

I feel that all these posts listed are not only well done, but will benefit you as an individual Steemian and also Steemit as a whole!

As always, I welcome your feedback and appreciate your support!

Quinnvincible! Thank you for your great posts. I intend to look back on each of the recommendations in your series here. So glad to have your quick lists to refresh me as I dive back into Steemit, after a long hiatus. And yes, I know what you mean about the plagiarism–it's a real turnoff to me, because it dilutes the pool of content with clutter. I mean, it's a shame when our posts so original, inspired, and potent, become clouded by careless content.

yes its a MAJOR problem of which we can easily fix actually. Just about coming together for common purpose and taking responsibility like this one guy did with his post. Thats why I shared it, as an example!
Yes I have 9 issues out now and it will be super convenient for you to be able t o just go over those 9 issues and catch up on a couple weeks of the most important stuff on Steemit!

True. Curation is making Steemit more potent as a channel for valuable information. I am keeping my eyes open for more of your selections. And I appreciate the example you're setting as I look through other people's curated lists.

I appreciate that feedback.
Hope to see you around soon!

wonderful nice post.

Thanks for another episode. @fraenk detective work was quite a fascinating read. Thanks for curating the newsletter @quinneaker!

Yes a very important post!
Glad you liked and I appreciate the feedback.
Hope to see you tune in again tomorrow for my next episode!
SteemON!

As do I. A truly valuable contributor!
Thanks for the feedback and support!
SteemON!

Nice collection of Steemit posts. About the copy pasta, each one of us can take action immediately when we see an issue. Within Steemit.chat, go to the #steemclears-linkdrop channel. You can say, briefly, what the issue is. But other than that, no discussion, just drop the link there. Here are their rules, taken from the pinned information on that channel:

#steemcleaners-linkdrop Rules

NO DISCUSSION!
This is for abuse links and supporting links!
Do not post more than 3 links reporting the same person. (unless they have high payouts)
Action taken is at the discretion of @steemcleaners
No links to personal disputes or content you disagree with
It's a constructive action that we can all take, right when we see an issue. You can get rewards for doing this, too. But the bigger reward is maintaining the value of Steemit and the time and money you have put into it.

Hope that helps.

Yes steam cleaners can help but we can also do this our self. I am a big fan of taking action our selfs rather than relying upon the "police" to save us.
Of course steam cleaners have their place and you are aright we should submit it but I say not rely upon it.
Great to see you having a visit and a say!
SteemON!

I'm all for a two-pronged effort, for sure! The advantage of the steemcleaners is that they can get a large payout taken off, which goes back into the pool for other folks that are making original posts.

True!
Great point, they also have a HUGE load and sometimes don't get everything done they need to.
Either way there are solutions and part of those solutions are fellow steemians looking out for this stuff and reporting it in someway.

Thanks @quinneaker for the mention and for introducing me to some great posts which I will read right now. Keep up the good work for the community

Hey @luzcypher
Thats exactly what I am trying to do. Support quality content like yours and also expose people to important projects and posts to improve our community!
Keep up the great work, I will continue to help bring exposure and support!
