Projects That Inspire Me to be a Better Steemians

In my short time here so far I have found quite a few wonderful projects that inspire the community. Everything from new member interaction up to paying gigs. While this is not an all-inclusive list it is just a few so far that have inspire me. These projects are ongoing either daily or weekly, and have at least a track recorded of doing their best to do good in the community. While I can’t financially support them outside of an upvote. I can at least help bring attention to them, and inform my fellow followers many who are new to Steemit.

1. #Steemgigs by: @steemgigs with the slogan “Everyone Has Something To Offer!"

The goal of this project is to help support and enable the Steemit community to create 5,000 Steemgigs. The words “passion project” pale in comparison to the amount of love and care that goes into this project. A blog here goes into detail about a new tagging system to help improve the project.

2. WHAT MAKES STEEM BEAUTIFUL by: @steemisbeautiful

This projects goal is to bring attention to what truly makes Steem a beautiful place, and that is because of the users. It finds minnows who have posted usually an introduceyourself post, and encourages members of the community to welcome these people in by leaving: comments, upvotes, follows, and resteems. 3. Reports from the Witnesses by: @timcliff

Timcliff puts together a one stop shop for all things Witnesses for the week by providing links to what they have been up to. This helps members of the community to make informed decisions when voting for witnesses. It promotes communication and transparency. His report from 6/18/17 can be found here

4. STEEMIT Weekend Camp Fire Series by @barrydutton

Every weekend a new post is opened up for all members to come and join. Its goal is to create an area all weekend long to just relax, and forget about the troubles of the week. The project promotes friendship, relationship building, and shenanigans among other things. The one that ran from the 16th to the 18th can be found here.

5. 50 Word Story Contest by: @literature-trail

This project helps promote better word choice, and rethinking how to say more with less. Every week a new contest is opened that ask members to write a 50 word or less story with a word of the week included. It’s open to those with 55 or less reputation and strongly encourage for minnows to join in. Week #16 can be found here.
