⏺ Investing in Steemit, not Steem! Part 2
You can't build a long term future, with short term thinking.
-Billy Cox-
I like this quote quite a lot! I think it says quite a bit about the correct mentality one should have when entering an action plan for a vision they may have.
Reason being is simple. Most of the time, success does not happen instantly. Good things really do take time. Whatever it is you want to do, the best results are generally the matured ones. When they are completely ripe!
Why is Steemit, in my opinion one of the best platforms ever?
Not only is Steemit an incredibly diverse platform, but it tends to attract a certain natural level of maturity in it's responses from the community simply using the platform.
Don't understand what I mean? Let me put it this way, before you joined Steemit, were you being impacted by wealthy people around you? Because there are ton of open-minded, wealthy people here. What about just the quality of people. The caliber standard of the community here, versus other platforms, is just amazing.
So for that, I feel far more comfortable giving this incredible platform my time. Not necessarily because I know what the future of the currency will be like, but more so because I have 100% faith in the community. I also know that any obstacle Steem currently faces, can, and will be overcome.
Do any of these sound familiar:
'Follow our passions!'
'Do what you love!'
'Don't do it for the money.'
Sounding familiar? I think we all know these sayings. We all hear them all the time.
The thing is, most people simply feel like they cannot do so in the real world. Life gets in the way for them, and many times, it's tough to monetize your true passion.
See, with Steemit as our platform, these sayings are no longer excuses. Absolutely anybody has the potential to do what they love. No matter if it's being a writer, an artist of any sort, or doing woodwork. You have the potential here to monetize absolutely anything your heart desires.
So for that, I am investing in Steemit. Not only my money, because that is not what is important.. But my time. My effort, and my energy are being put into the platform, not the currency. I believe in this community, and I have a big vision for what is to come. Get ready, it's going to be amazing!

i learned a loot from your posts
I'm glad you learnt a loot from my posts :) Awesome :P
100% agree with what you said. Some people expect to earn big doing just little to nothing at all and then when they don't see results, they preach to everyone and even give a status to facebook that steemit is useless. Read one earlier. It's funny to read but it's disturbing for they might corrupt the minds of other people who is planning to join steemit.
Anyway, I enjoyed reading your post. Do you publish every day? When and what time do you usually post?
Your explanation sounds incredibly similar to the Network Marketing industry. It's precisely like that over there. Far too many corrupt minds that were influenced negatively in the past about scams, etc. And for that, much like with Steemit, people are missing out on massive opportunity.
Thanks a bunch :) I am glad.
Yes, I try to stick to my schedule of posting twice a day. Approximately every 12 hours. Sometimes a little under, other times a little over that time :) Not sure your time zone, but in my country (South Africa), I post around 1pm and 1am.
😂😂😂 I should have check your reply here before chatting you at steemit.chat anyway, thank you for helping your stalker. It's easier to do the stalking now since I already know your posting schedule. Hope you'll never get tired reading and responding to my comments as well. 😁😁😁
With only a week on this platform, I've already noticed the difference in caliber of characters compared to the 'mainstream' social media platforms... The quality and originality is on the increase, while cut/paste jobs and 'unfunny' trolling is at a minimum... I'm definitely in this for the long haul...
Well... :D There is still a ton of spam and copy/paste. But yeah, I would agree it is certainly less compared to the rest! :)
Congrats on your first week! Work hard, enjoy yourself, and let's do this :)
@enazwahsdarb Love the hustle spirit ! I'd say invest in both :p well time is money for sure and that's the biggest capital I am currently having and has proven to be profitable since I joined steemit. Never waste your time for free, if you can rant and get paid why not, Jk.
Anyhow, Talk soon !
Definitely :) Totally agreed.
Also agreeing with your time-mindset! Time is money for sure. At least, thinking this way will get us on our feet and working :)
Ahh thanks :P I appreciate that! Now go for gold!! :)
Steemit is the best platform I've ever seen. Considering the immense benefits and possibility of success, it is worth it. But there are major principles to success on steemit thus
avoid enmity
be passionate just as @enazwahsdarb rightly mentioned.
be consistent
The rules are simple, flexible and easy. Keep to it.
Steemit is the future of social network.
Thanks once again @enazwahsdarb for this Beautiful Post. You nailed it.
Totally agree with those points. I think it's important to follow some provable principles to really get lasting results.
Love it man! Nicely said.
Thanks
No problem! You had a nice description of how you explained that.
I think you pointed out one of the most important things of Steemit - because Steemit is more than STEEM and money.
I am not sure if you've already seen @spectacles, but maybe it can help you out a bit when it comes to your followers! Looks like you got some sweet investors on your blog!

It's so true hey. Also intriguing, because I never felt this way about the 'giving' approach before I came across this platform. I used to be very monetary in my goals and general thinking, but now thing are completely 180-degrees different :)
I actually have never seen that site before, but thanks for that! Really cool to see all these third-party resources to make our lives easier. Thanks for your kind words too! :)
Hope you're well!
That's true! For example, on Instagram one simply wants to get as much likes as possible and I would generally do not care much about my followers - I just want to share my own stuff.
However, it works different with Steemit. That's also why we have curation rewards (and you get rewarded more if you upvote the right posts). In addition to that, Steemit has more relations (if you comment and upvote me a lot, I am willing to do the same - ofcourse if the content interests me that is).
Also, with Steemit you can help people out, which makes you also feel good about yourself (I am raising awareness for this and that, all payout will be send to charity).
Another factor is STEEM ofcourse, not the main one, but still plays a role. We are all dependant on STEEM, and if we start selling all at once, it will crash. If we buy at once, it will go up like crazy. All of us together hold the value and are somewhat responsible for this too, which also makes you feel like you're a part of something bigger.
You're welcome :) We're continuously working on it so if you have any suggestions, please let me know and we can make it happen!
I am well, looking forward to 6PM (which is in 40 mins) so I can go home again! How are you?
Really nicely explained my friend. I totally agree with all your points, as they are very accurate.
It's very true. I think it gives many people a sense of being apart of something bigger than themselves. Also the fact that powerdowns takes so long is great, which discourages many people from wanting to withdraw!
Wait.. So.. You helped design that site? :D
Oh okay. So where were you that you wanted to get home? :)
I'm always doing fantastic thanks!!
I couldn't agree more! But I also think that the system has something disregarding - it is hard for people to finally get some value for their posts. You have to push through and keep on working on your engagement, followers and your own posts.
Haha, both the concept and the design are mine :) @pilcrow is my amazing developer and together we built @spectacles!
And I was at work!
A little time and energy invested by each of us into Steemit, will help it become the community with the influence we will all prosper from.
Nicely said! I totally agree with every word of that.
Now we just need to encourage those actions to be taken :)
yes, for sure. :)
Many people on Steemit post copy/pasted material and then give up on the platform because they aren't performing as they would have liked. Steemit takes originality, hard work, and perseverance.
It's true. Unfortunately that is a very common mentality of many users joining this platform. I think it's best if everyone who knows the correct approach, to set the rest in a solid direction :)
I totally agree! It's exactly that :)
Separating wheat from chaff. Perseverance also means patience. This platform is still young.
WOW very well described!
I haven't really considered that description of perseverance being patience. Nice one!
I think we have some solid potential here :)
I absolutely agree with you! Yes, there are investors waiting for the ROI and more. But we all should never forget whats the spine of this living entity, called "steemit": its the content and the engagement of cool people that have something to say.
Thank you for reminding people of what it is all about.
(Yesterday I wrote a similar article about that https://steemit.com/steemit/@laylahsophia/why-i-love-steemit , but yours hits the bullseye. ;)
Nicely said! I think it's very importaant that people are reminded on a regular basis about the correct mentality and approach :)
Awesome one my friend :) Our articles related nicely then!
Keep up your nice work.
Thank you for this point. This second part has given me hope. I am in it to win it. Not really more to get exposure and build a community with other. So I guess that is win it. Keep them coming.
My pleasure my man :) I'm glad you're in a better state of mind now after our previous chat.
Go for gold!
Thanks
My pleasure man. See you in the next post in a bit! :)
