The second day started with a Yoga class by the fabulous @saramiller. I was really looking forward to that but ended up missing it because I was posting the Weekend Freewrite posts. They take a bit longer than the regular daily prompt.

Steem Authorship-- Ken Melendez @kenmelendez
Ken came well prepared for this presentation and gave us a lot to think about in his talk. His theme was steem authorship and in case you don't know, he is a published author.
He shared that his background as a fitness professional taught him the discipline necessary to succeed on Steemit. Consistency is important. Ken is also a father and a crypto enthusiast. His fitness and crypto knowledge have made it into his books you can find on Amazon - maybe the next one will be about his experience as a father of two boys - soon to be three.

Stackedit.io - a tool that allows you to write and format your posts offline.
BuzzSumo - allows you to search which content is popular
Quara - a good way to see what people are interested in - and get a question answered.

Hustlin’ & Grindin’ - Chris Avalos @reseller
Chris was great!! And Chris was tired. He had driven that morning from LA - morning meaning starting the drive at 2 AM. to make matters worse for him, he wasn't able to sleep at all during the night.
Tired or not - Chris was rocking the house. He was funny and he was himself.
Being authentic was a big theme during the whole conference and Chris was a great example of that.
He has found Steem Success with his Show Steemit Minute, Your Daily Steem News Show! I made it to Steemian of the day in this episode! Thank you so much!!!
Here is one highlight of his talk. When Chris first started on Steemit, he tried all different kind of posts. He compared it to throwing spaghetti against the wall and see what sticks.
"I could open an Italian Restaurant with all that spaghetti," he said.
The One Minute Show stuck - but he hinted on having big plans for the future. You just have to follow him to see what he is up to @reseller
Steem Next Level - Joe Parys @joeparys
Talk about a person committed to Steem and to the conference. He pretty much went right from the emergency room to the airport to come to Vegas. This earned him the reward of most committed Steemian coming to the conference with hospital equipment still attached.
Joe shared about his financial struggle to make ends meet as a high school teacher and coach even though he worked long hours. Then he found online teaching and Steem.
His personal strategy is to invest heavily in Steem and in every one of his posts.

Yes it is! Yeah, I've been trying to earn my steem but feeling pretty silly for not buying a chunk when it was down to $1.50...
For me, buying any was and is not an option. I am grateful that we can earn some...

Ya, I'd imagine so, I am going to try and make in to one of the Irish Steemit meetups soon, to try and meet some of the local people on the platform.. Thanks for the advise
