The Old Dog Presents: Our Third Steemit Trading Card. Guess Who it is!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemcard7 years ago (edited)

Following up on our first two trading cards featuring @papa-pepper and @meesterboom which you can see in all their glory here and here, we asked the illustrious @meesterboom to pick the next Steemer worthy of a Trading Card.

Not only did @meesterboom make a great selection, he even agreed to write the text that accompanies the card in true boomer style! All of this while anxiously awaiting the imminent arrival of his new baby boy! Congratulations Boom Man!

Although I wasn't overly familiar with @meesterboom's selection I scoured through his posts and was thoroughly impressed by their quality and regularity. So impressed in fact, that he's found a new follower, me!

And Voila! Here is Our Newest Steem Trading Card!

@exyle is now officially a Steemit Star! Way to go @exyle, not only do you rock but you look sooooo cool!

This guy is as steady as they come and a huge booster of our Steemit platform!

Here you can see both sides together. One thing that I love about @exyle is that he invests regularly in Steem. Not only does that help him but it helps all of us too!

Here is The Full Text as it Appears On The Card

Exyle blazed onto Steemit in July 2016 showing us his love of Crypto, BBQ and Selfie-style blogging. It wasn't long before this consistent Steem INVESTOR and enthusiast made his mark while sharing his love of traveling, beers and crypto with us. All the while he’s accumulated over 90,000 SP! Hey, he loved Steemit so much he got his Mom to join and INVEST too! Let's not forget the grill though. Right from the beginning he shared his love of the grill even through the horror of the foot burning hot coals incident!

Reputation: Romping in with 70.6 @exyle has the 176th highest reputation!

Followers: Clocking in at 3037 @exyle is racking up the followers by the shed load.

Posts: With Over 4,532 posts this splendid Steemian and daily blogger shows he aint shy of delivering on the blockchain!

Random fact: @exyle has discovered a thumb twiddling new hobby, Street Fighter V. Can you stop this fighting machine?

How Did @exyle do it?

His advice: “Whatever your goal is on this platform. The main thing is, to have fun while doing it.”

A Special Mention Goes to the Following Members!

  • @airmatti for his awesome design. I have sent him 20 Steem as part of this ongoing @steemgigs
  • @steemitadventure and @fishmon  who are also producing trading cards in a completely  different style! Please check them out and support them too!

Who Will Receive The Next Steemit Trading Card?

The next card will go to someone who has done so much for our platform you'll wonder why he didn't get the very first card!

What do You think?

  • Who would you recommend as deserving of a Steemit Trading Card?
  • Once we have a small stack would you like to have a physical copy?

I hope that you enjoyed this presentation of "Our Third Steemit Trading Card."

Until next time,

Until next time,

WOW! What an awesome surprise! Great card! Funny to see the designer picked my Steemfat outfit! Normally I wear glasses. But it looks fantastic!

Also, thanks for the nice words you wrote @kus-knee, that's really kind!

@meesterboom, thank you as well for thinking about me for this card and the description you wrote!

Here's a new version, oh yeah! ;D

Uber cool!

Wayhay! This looks fabby dude! Another excellent addition to the steemit trading card experience!

Heck, when they are done I fancy getting a deck of them! :O)

Hahaha yea I was thinking the same!

Very nice of you to pick the good man @exyle he must be even cooler than I thought to be The Boom first choice!

You know @papa-pepper already ordered like 150 of his special edition!

That's quite cool, I will wait for the deck I think so I have a pack of steemians!

He is a cool guy, the brief is for people with a higher rep than 70 which is good because it narrows the field a tad!!

Yea it aint easy to get to rep 70!

As you WELL KNOW!

Great to see you worked hard and now get to enjoy being #2 in the coolest collectors card series on earth hehehe

It sure aint easy. After that it becomes much much worse at moving!

I am proud! :OD

It was fun and educational featuring you @exyle!

Nice card, @exyle. Looks great. You have a good place in this deck. I hope more will be created. :-)

Congrats @exyle for being a part of one of the coolest new trends on Steemit!

The bad ass Cool Dawg Card Club!

You deserve for sure for all your contributions to the community!

SteemOn!

What an honor to be featured, few know the feeling so far!

Not only a great initiative for us all, but a well needed upswing for the vibes of the platform altogether. We all win with such words of empowerment and inspiration!

Thank you so very much for another excellent post that makes us all shine brighter in the face of darkness. Namaste :)

Thanks so much @eric-boucher you always bring a lot of sunshine as you weave in and out of the Steemit platform!

Thanks a bunch, the feeling is mutual! Namaste :)

An amazing card again! @exyle is looking fair old good on it and the accompanying text is just terrific! Hot diggety dawg, I am loving the steemit all stars card experience!

accompanying text is just terrific!

It's great to collaborate with fellow Steemers!

It is and this is one of the finest collaborations yet!

It really is!

SO great to see you inspiring yet another great Steemian Initiative of creative spirit!

Wow, the guy on the back looks completely different from the guy on the front;)
Very nice...compliments to @airmatti!

I forgot to mention that he's nicknamed the Chameleon!

fantastic post, no doubt @exyle is a fantastic steemian and the thing which i love most about him is that he mostly post about his own life, his outings, his food and his hobbies, which is great and in this way we can also develop our own lifestyle, another great thing about his blog is that he shares his experience regarding steem and steemit with us, which is very helpful for us to understand the platform, he is also very kind and generous person and he surely deserves this card. Thanks @kus-knee you choice is awesome, stay blessed.

I'm so happy to read that you have been following and appreciate @exyle. It was good for me to get to know him better by doing this series!

very nice one again.. don't forget the idea to create a website so that everyone can create his own based on your template.

Yes I like your idea!

So let's bring it to reality. Like I said I want to pay for the domain costs.. now we only need to have a creative developer who can build it... we can write history with it... everyone can make his own steemit card... and the official once stay in place... as a witness of steemit I want to participate in projects, and I think this could be really something.... new users every month , new whales, new stories...

I hope you like this.. my daughter made a fantastic contribution for Steemfest art festival https://steemit.com/steemfest/@rival/art-for-steemfest-2-my-daughter-made-a-wonderful-contribution-please-check-this-out

Great post about a great Steemian, @exyle! Thank you for sharing this, @kus-knee. Upvoted @ 100%. Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much. It's been a lot of fun and it is hoped that by profiling these great Steemers others will be spurned on to success!

Even if I dont know exactly the purpose of a trading card, it seems to be annother good idea to promote steemit.
I think "trading" doesn't mean trading in cryptocoins. Or am I wrong??

Trading cards usually come in packages and often contain pictures and stats of athletes on sports teams. For example hockey, baseball, football etc... When you buy a package of say, 5 cards you don't know which ones you'll get until you open it because they are random. For this reason people often trade cards in order to acquire a full set i.e. every member of every team!

For example let's say I have 2 @papa-pepper cards and someone else has 2 @meeterboom's. We could trade. If a card is very rare we might have to trade 3 for one and so on!

It's huge in North America.

This is a huge producer of trading cards. http://www.upperdeck.com

Thank you very much for the explanation! I think in German it is called "Sammelkarten". It sounds more like "collect" than "trade". Othervise it would be called "Tauschkarten".
Steemit is gorgeous, because I learned today the topic "trading card".
Mille grazie, cane vecchio.

Another fantastic choice, indeed!

It's only a matter of time @gringalicious....... it's only a matter of time!

That's pretty cool to know thanks for the tips by the way :)

Thanks for dropping in to have a look!
