Hmmm.... a tree yes? Anything more? I found this in Eastern Africa...

Basically it works like this:
post a photo that you took about something (e.g. a plant, animal, rock, etc) from nature that you would like help with as a reply below.
post context - maybe where you found it - forest, stream, desert, etc. How big it is (if it is hard to see).
other users will help to identify what it is as replies.
you do not have to, but feel free to repost or upvote if you are keen (if you like the contest - but not a requirement - but it helps support @SBI shares).

nice tree! where in Africa did you go? what species it is, I have no clue. baobab's are, as already mentioned, the only trees I can associate with Africa but it doesn't look quite like it...
This is from Tanzania... a beautiful place... I think it could be a baby baobab... but not sure how many types of baobabs there are??

I have no clue what else is in the picture, I do think it is cool how it looks like in the lower fatter trunk that a hand is coming out and holding onto a branch that looks somewhat like a set of bull horns, but I'm getting old, and may be seeing things, or it could be that It's not because of age, but because I have always seen things in other things, like clouds and tree bark, and even in rocks...looking forward to some of the pics from people and guesses.

That being said, seeing things in the clouds and tree bark and rocks just perhaps means that you are creative... #justbecause!

You made me laugh @bashadow as I do the same thing but mostly with clouds and trees. I'm getting older too but like you, I've always seen things in other things from the time I was a young child. 💖
I think it is because my eyesight is failing. ;-} Everything looks like something else. LoL.
Tell me about it. :-) My eyes are cheating on me and I can see things too. The clouds are always in a shape of something. :-)
What I see is a tree. :-)
There is some kind of lichen, a lot of it.
I thought to throw a picture of a flower, that somebody can identify. I saw it among the roses on the street. It is small flower with low stem and because it was so attractive with its stamens I took this close-up.
I think it may be St Johns Wort, but I am not 100% sure, a search on google shows similar flower as St John's Wort, supposed to be good for you but I don't know what part or anything like that. One of the herbalist would know for sure I think.
Both you and @roxy-cat suggest St. Johns Wort and I think you are right.
It likely is, most important though, it is a nice pretty flower and a nice picture, and well it got us all posting and commenting. A total win for all.

I think this is Aaron's-beard or st john's-wort or Rose of sharon... Hypericum calycinum.
I should have looked further, did not see your answer. oh well. Now i need to go see those other two flowers you mentioned.
Actually those are different names for the same plant. It is quite common here and we always use it when it comes of liver diseases. 🙂
