Good Person Token Ya or Na?

I was leaving a comment but it because a post so I will just make a post :)

I think clarification is needed before I make any kind of judgement on if I like it or not. I can't imagine Ned would want any kind of new code that could do Steemit harm so I say let's give him the benefit of the doubt. We do need something to keep the abusers from abusing the system with out punishing the non abusers.

Trying to judge who's abusing the system is a whole other kind of problem in its own but for the ones we all agree on we should be able to at least deal with them.

People with small amounts of Steem Power wont down vote someone who has a lot because they don't want the retaliation. So that system fails and that's okay because this is still beta and in many ways alpha.

So I'm game, we must try new methods and see if it works. If it doesn't work we toss it out and try something new. Not doing anything will hurt steemit in the long run.

From what I understand is that steemit will be using a white list and if someone doesn't follow the rules they will be removed from said whitelist. They may also have you submit an ID or more so limit the amount you can make until you submit an ID and or phone number of some sort.

I personally think that conflicts with the spirit of the blockchain being decentralized and in many places around the world that could be a whole other problem in way of danger to the person posting the post. They can't speak freely and sensors the content in steem/steemit.

What is your take on this "Good Person Token"? Does Ned have a plan to make steemit better? Maybe hes trying to see how stemains react? I would like to hear what other tactics/Ideas people have come up with but my guess it's not very many or may be deeply conflicted with others agendas. I know that some people would like to think Ned was just pulling everyone's chain (pun intended) but as I have said before doing nothing is worse.

So in short, How would you handle the abuse on steemit?
Maybe someone can ask @ned and see if he can explain more about this idea?
