Soft Promo #2: What is dApps and their relevance to the blockchain.

Hello Steemit, after my soft publication to promote Steemit on other media platforms which was inspired by my friend @meno, I got couple of responses from friends, colleagues and associates asking me to complete this amazing task.
Well, I will say that it is a task that no one can complete until you come on board to explore and experience the chains yourself. Seeing they say is believing.

What is dApps?

Retrospectively, the knowledge of your blockchain technology will be applicable here. Meanwhile, if this is your first time coming in contact with the word - Blockchain. Don't get discourage at all. Let me explain in few words.

Decentralized versus Centralized

Meanwhile, what then and how does a dapps operate compared to a centralized?
It is called a Decentralized Applications because it run on a P2P network of computers rather than a single computer - obtainable in the centralized ecosystem.
The hazard and the vulnerability of Internet and data associated with the centralized operation which are as follows; paved the way for decentralized applications.

• Companies are monetizing database submitted by their users to them without their permission. This is ridiculous and it is a total infringement to their rights. Do you know that most people (even me) don't bother to check or read the T&C before consenting. So, you now know why it is risky...
• This is the major concern decentralized system is tackling and it is a problem on the centralized networks. There is a high tendencies that serves can go down temporarily for days, and this is due to just one source that controls the entire data. Do you remember New York Times 1995-05-21 issue? Maybe I need to remind you
• Often times, there is alawys a shady dealing where data get hacked and that lead to information being compromised. Yahoo mailbox was hacked and over million accounts compromised

What's the functionality of a Decentralized Applications (dApps)

A decentralized applications are identified as a peer to peer network of computers. And it should be noted that each of these computers are connected directly to each which enhance transparency.
Save for the purpose of this article, a decentralized application does not necessarily have to run on a blockchain.

If a dapps will be classified, these following criteria must be considered in the context of Blockchain:
• Such dapp must be completely an open source.
• The application's data and ledger of operation must be cryptographically stored.
• The application must be able to use a cryptographic token.
• The application must be able to generate tokens.
