Hello Steem/dtube, it has been an amazing year for me so far. Getting back on the track after months of being away from the chain due to predicaments beyond my own capabilities, and here I am; at the peak of my career (but still passionate to do more). It is worth celebrating, a year and half of being active (adding value with great contents to this amazing community) on the blockchain.
Also, not going to forget my experience at the just concluded SIN² Annual Festival which held at Abuja, it was a really an amazing time with a whole lot of friends across the chain present at the event. It is an adventure worth doing again!
In the same vein, we need to continue with the pace at which things are changing, the pace at which Blockchain technology is revolutionizing the human world. Steem Blockchain as a case study has on-boarded several individuals who are now experts in their various fields of life with the help STEEM gave to them in breaking through the walls of cryptocurrency space.
In order to further actualize the plans of building and empowering communities (especially individuals) and to further support the curation work here in Nigeria, I would like to walk you through a working plan or an idea I tagged "Spotlight Curation". It (this kind of post) will be hereinafter referred to as the "Spotlight Curation Report" once we get started.
To be fair and reasonable, it is quite difficult when starting off on the blockchain especially getting visibility for ones' content. Also, the essence of using tags has been defeated as many tags have gone unnoticed or probably being abused and spammed. Well, we cannot underestimate the power of manual curation and the effort of curators at large from different regions especially Nigeria to be precise. But one distinct possibility we can achieve with Spotlight Curation is that, aside from giving the upvote to a desirable content(s), here are some suggestions to aid the process;
• As the name implies, "spotlight" we want to showcase the best write-ups, vlog and dtubesnap while curating numerous contents on the chain. Everybody likes the feeling they get when being given attention, if you do not, perhaps you are not human, haha! We put them on spot to be noticed as a great content creator (s) and contributors.
• We will ensure to give a breakdown (Spotlight Curation Report) every week base on the efficiency of each content. And we will incentivize them with some tokens (Spotlight SMTs) in order to motivate them for the tasks ahead.
• Engagement: each of the individual selected for the week will have the opportunity to engage with each other's content and probably follow up. Most importantly learn from each other's wealth of knowledge and understanding of the blockchain.
• These are the short-term goals of the Spotlight project. Subsequently, we will unveil the long-term goals for the blockchain consumption. It will be of greatest contribution if you can give us hint and suggestions on what to include and probably substrate from the plans. We would be expecting your comments.
Nb: Currently, the activities of the spotlight project are being carried out with my personal blog (since I am the brain box behind it) But nevertheless, we would ensure to create a portfolio for the idea soon enough. But for now, all we need is your unwavering support, idea and help to bring this into fruition.
