My Cryptocurrency Portfolio Review

Well this weekend the prices of bitcoin and altcoin have been stabilizing or slightly rising. It will be great if it can continue to rise from here considering the past few weeks have been brutal to crypto investors. I am still way in the red from my initial investments but I have a long term view on my holdings so can wait it out for many years to come. :)

The current prices of coins that I hold:

I am still looking into an easier way to present my portfolio on steemit. I am still playing with blockfolio and excel spreadsheets. Curious how the rest of you are keeping track of your crypto portfolio?

Thanks for reading.

Most of my portfolio is in Binance and Bittrex, as I figure out how to use my Ledger Nano S. But, since I don't have lot it doesn't matter if it is in the exchange. Except for ReddCoin and BitBean, which I need to get into a wallet that will show Proof of State. Neo's Proof of Stake is handled by Binance.

You seem very knowledgeable with security so good for you. I held off buying a Ledger as last year I absolutely had less crypto invested than the worth of a ledger. This year is a little different and I will likely buy one during black friday promotion or cyber monday. Thanks.

I didn't buy mine, I won it.
It was shipped directly from the company and it wasn't pre-setup. I probably would have held off until I had a good amount more as well. Unless you have put 1,000s of real money into crypto, leaving it in exchanges is okay. Besides, when the market does go BULL again, I don't want to have to keep transferring back and forth between my wallet and the exchange with the fees, process and time it takes.

Great. Lucky you. the ledger is going to be red hot when cryptonite coins are able to be store on it. Not saying it is not red hot already ;)

Yes, they are hard enough to get now. It took over a month from when I won it until they shipped it due to their backlog.

I keep track of my holdings with a spreadsheet. It's not as "ready for sharing" as viewing screenshots of your portfolio dashboard, but it helps for calculating over time.

Yes I agree the spreadsheet helps with the numbers. Yet it is not setup to be viewer friendly for someone seeing it for the first time. Thanks for dropping by.

being the secretive cat that I am, and depending on where you live and how your government classes income from crypto (taxable ?) then I'd be very reluctant to share my list of investments online where a nosy tax man might come looking... :-)

Ooo may you likely a crypto millionaire? ;)
There is no way of avoiding taxes even when it comes to crypto. For myself I have nothing to lose as I pay my dues. By presenting my data I hope I can learn from others. It is also fun to document my journey. When things settle down for me I will start posting my portfolio on a daily basis. Thanks!

I can't guess what your personal wealth is, but when it gets to a certain level then it pays to be a little more discrete about your financial standings. Apart from tax collector interest, there are lots of people who would like to take your money off you, so the less information they have the better ;-)

When I talk about money I'm very careful to blank out who I have accounts with and account balances, and give as little personal details as I can. It just makes me feel a little more secure, less of a target.

On point to be a little more discrete. I been on steemit far to long and have likely disclosed more than I should have, but that is apart of the decentralized idea. All info posted on steemit is for anyone and all to see.

Thanks for the advice as I continue my journey on here and to my best to not be targeted by unwanted attention ;)

I think most people share too much on social media generally. No wonder there's a huge increase in identity theft when people expose their entire lives online.

I always cringe when people post pictures of their lovely houses, and show off all their expensive belongings and where they're kept, and then broadcast to the world they're away on vacation for two weeks... it's like a shopping mall for burglars.

I bet some of the whales have constant doxing attempts, people trying to steal their identities, take control of their Steem accounts, damage them. I'm just paranoid I guess, lol.

All the time with regards to doxing. Yet remember steemit is open to all to see so theme here seems to be discouraging people from hiding too much.
