Crypto falls will end?

in #steem5 years ago

Dear steem-bountiers

this time we are facing in a total reverse situation than what was last year, this means crypto are going worse?
As my experience, i am one of very unlucky people who joined crypto in the beginning of this year.
2017 was the best year ever and many people including mass media starting to talk about Bitcoin and blockchain technology, so more people including me get know about this wonderful world, but what we have after one year?
The cryptocurrency is become a real enemy for worldwide economy system and now they are trying to say the word "end" to this revolutionary system.
Yes, because i read in many places that in november Bitcoin should rise again thanks to the introduction in real stock market exchange, but this is not happened, who know why?
I think institutional investors are now making trouble on cryptos economy and the result is most alcoins value is less than 50% than one month ago!!!
Even Steem is now at low point from over a year, but who will stop it?
I am believing in Steem as project where good people can develop, we have wonderful service like @Steem-bounty who are offering services to develop all community, so i am still believing in this project, and you?
Which suggestion you will give to Steemit management to make better our community?

Congratulations to the following winner(s) of the bounty!

Having all this liquid steem flooding the market I think a dApp creator like busy or eSteem would do well to increase their stakes and provide improved curation services for users to encourage them to keep posting regularly

I also think a good idea would be a promotional style where new users get say they get SP matched in delegation to what they power up to or dApps giving new sign ups a little extra delegation so they can go out there an earn something

I also think a good idea would be a promotional style where new users get say they get SP matched in delegation to what they power up

Oh I like that...maybe we can do something with PIFC to match up to 25sp or something...nothing large as we aren't large enough to cover the costs but still if 20 people power up 25sp that adds to the strength of the community.

Good idea my friend, we should try to do a contest in steem-bounty, but we need to be more supporters and reward real good writers newcomers, do you have a plan?

Not yet, but it's something that I think can be arranged. I was going to give away some 50sp delegations from my personal account for those with less then 25sp to help get them growing. Think it's a simple little giveaway that can help support the steemit community.

But I like the idea of linking it to people powering up. Means they have some skin in the game.

Decentralized mean nobody is in control. Another way to put this is that everybody is responsible. Steemit Inc is working on the infrastructure and that has been their philosophy for some time (especially since @ned took over) So what makes Ethereum better and stronger? It's such and inferior product to EOS. But there are so many amazing projects like SONM, BAT etc. and most of the ICOs and billions of dollars worth funding happened through ETH. That contributes to the value greatly. So to build STEEM, interact with the DAPPs and make them great. Stronger the DAPPs are stronger the STEEM ecosystem will be.

My regular used DAPPs are @steemhunt and @dlike I also love visiting http://dpoll.xyz and now is the best time to get into STEEM Monsers. They totally revamped the game: https://steemit.com/steemmonsters/@vimukthi/congratulations-steem-monsters-for-finally-making-a-good-gameplay-experience-for-my-investment

Happy Steeming!

I think they should help users without large SP. Some people are struggling on this platform.

Curie is helping but they come once in like 2 or 3 months

If newcomers can make money on their posts, many others will be interested

Dear @mfunbee, after HF20 in Steemit most of newcomers get a strong involution due to fact of cost of RC, so this means Steemit is not interested on your point, but i am opposite and i still using steem-bounty service to help good people to develop, i think you should put it in the list of helpers, what do you think?

hi @mfunbee

check out my last post. I decided to delegate up to 1200 SP to users with small SP

If newcomers can make money on their posts

that is the problem. to many people believe in making money directly here on steemit. and that's why price is steadily dropping. because there is constant supply of those who are here to make little bit of $$$ and then sell their steem and not enough of those who are buying to build their network as influencers

Not that I've ever run a social media site, but I've been around for the rise and fall of enough of them since the start. My computing days go back to the mid 80's when we had our first computer in the house, it cost more then the cars my parents were driving.

Now as we deal with a lot of smaller members of steemit and see their posts, comments, and issues I think this adds to the knowledge base of what steemit needs to do.

If we want Steemit to go main stream then the KISS rule needs to be followed. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Problem with all the "solutions" to problem presented by the witnesses and steemit inc developers is that they all want to appear smart. But by trying so hard to look smart they are killing engagement and making it less attractive to new people coming in due to all the moving parts.

Steemit was already highly confusing to a brand new person and then they added an entire new layer to the mix, RC's. This now means people need to understand their VP, RC's, Steem vs SP vs SBD, what the "display vote value means", dust votes, blogging etiquette, and so much more to have any chance of even minor success here.

Sure RC's technically are just 1 addition to an already long list of niche industry jargon...industry of Steemit as they apply nowhere else except the copycat sites. But the RC's crippled the ability of new people (potential new money) from getting a chance to come in and play around for a little while for free before deciding they wanted to make an investment.

See this isn't a known commodity that people Need or Understand so a free trial run is needed to allow people to test drive what we have to offer.

So to make things better, we need to first make it so brand new steemit users can function at a real level each day without issue and second simplify the entire process so it's easier to understand.

Side benefit of simplifying things would be drastically less code meaning the site would be faster and less costly to run.

Dear my friend @pifc, you know that Steemit is divided in pour and rich, who have much SP want only elite platform and who are like us want popular platform, so thats why we use Steem-bounty, but is not enough...:(((

Well I don't believe that the rich want an elite platform or I wouldn't be here. An elite platform doesn't lead to one that anyone can make money on and the rich (in SP) are not worth anything if there aren't others interested in purchases the Steem or SBD they produce with all the steem. So it's in their best interest to have this become a widely used platform as the demand will increase and they can actually cash out some of that "paper wealth" they currently have. That is it's only worth something on paper since they aren't selling it, but if they tried to sell 1 million steem tomorrow because they needed cash fast we would see the price drop drastically as they sold. If a couple whales did this at the same time then steem would have no value at all as there isn't that much demand out there right now. But add 50k real users to the platform, not bots or duplicate accounts, and you would see real demand for steem and the price will rise. Add 250k users and we are easily a $10 coin.

very good point @pifc

I also don't think rich want this place to be an elite platform. that would make them lose most of invested resources

hi @intellihandling

At the end of 2017 huge amount of people joined crypto hoping to get rich quick. So did I as well. And current crash is quite healthy. At the end of the day you want mature investors instead of bunch of greedy noobs.

Hopefully we will get to the point where regulations are finally being implemented, investors will know how to pay taxes etc. Until then I believe this market will suffer.

I agree with you my friend, as we can see in market cap over 2000 coins you can imagine how is unhealthy this market right now.
It seems to me as 2000's internet bubble where there was thousands of start up without money wanted to get rich with internet providing service...

The recent Bitcoin cash hard fork tuned the crypto market on it tails and even Bitcoin cash later felt the bear.

Personally, I noticed Cryptos would not rise this November like I earlier thought too. This is because many turn to be creating their own Cryptos or looking out for many new cryptocurrencies to invest while hoping it will rise and give them say 100x profit. This is why today we have over one million Cryptocurrencies and this diversity is killing the growth of Cryptos somehow. What we need is mass adoption of some specific Cryptocurrencies.

Talking about Steem, I do very much believe in the growth and success of steem. I love the fact that developers are taking advantage of the blockchain and promote steem through their great projects. I must confess that I know some people who are here just to play Steem monsters.

I believe the turnaround for steem might come with launch of SMT (Smart Media Tokens) even though there are some set backs to this.

Did you watch Ned's video about Steemit Inc update?

Check it out!

https://steemit.com/steem/@ned/2fajh9-steemit-update

Dear my friend, i perfectly agree on what you are saying, this year we are suffering the crypto speculation and scam Icos stolen money from investors, thats why this year we are not watching bull market like last year...:((

Of course! The trust in Crypto turns to fade away when one gets scammed. Thanks for your feedback.

#Steemit & open, linked data in my view is the way forward, if we open to the massive, There are many inherent advantages to an open online blog, the more increase the number are the better the value in our post.
As seen on my post.
https://steemit.com/steemit/@gibraltartoday/steemit-and-open-linked-data

Steemit should ban bots which will auto vote any post made by its member regardless of its contents. I think that steemit would thrive if it has more quality contents to offer curated by real people who are more interested in good contents as opposed to disappointing ones. Also, I think it would be better if there are more programs akin to steem bounty, steem hunts, steem monsters and others I might not know about that could help beginners to accumulate steem power in order to participate more in the platform.
