Best of Steemit Every Day

Best of the Best Logo

Every day, I bring you eight posts you should think hard about upvoting and supporting. These are quality posts, well written and good examples of the best the community has to offer. Please consider checking them out, and if you agree, love them up.

Today, a new bit: with two exceptions, all these links go to posts on my own feed. The quality of the people I follow is very high, and I want to make sure everyone can see that. We have some poetry today, too, and more than one photography post, and a whale of a lot of great examples of what you can find on Steemit. Thanks, also, to many of you for commenting and resteeming from today’s discussion about HF19 and its effect on minnows. Lots of stuff happening these days. I’m proud to be a part of it.

Today's Best

Writing (Fiction): My Garden Lilies In Poetry and Picture by @margaretwise. Such lovely photos, and a gentle poem to go with them. Not strictly speaking fiction, but hey, it’s my blog. ;-)

Writing (Nonfiction): So You Think You Have Stress Because of Your Teenager by @anneke. No, I think I have stress because I have THREE teenagers, two pre-teens, and three adults. But all of @anneke’s advice here is absolutely spot on, no matter what your family looks like.

My Clan

Writing (Craft): Lovely Edwardian Mystery Lady by @eyeofthestorm. From one of my favorite Steemit handles comes a great writing prompt. People-watching is a good way to jumpstart writing, and this is another way to do it. The questions are there. The photo is there. Who is this woman?

Steemit community: The Downside of HF19 by @richq11. Don’t just read the excellent post. On this one, scroll down and read the comments. This is, in my opinion, one of the best discussions on the side-effects of HF19 that we’ve had on Steemit.

Introduceyourself: I’m Sabina: Happy, Shiny, and Positive Person. But I Wasn’t Always Like That by @lavitaebella. I’m serious about sharing posts that illuminate anxiety and depression, and how people have overcome it. This is beautifully done. Many thanks to La Vita E Bella for this lovely post.

Steem: HF19: A Few Thoughts now The Euphoria Is Dying Down Some by @aggroed. Full disclosure: I voted for him for witness, because of posts like this. Always level-headed, always calm, always thinking and looking for how to benefit the community, @aggroed is one of the best of us. This is just one example: follow him and read his whole feed.

Photography: Vajola Goes Down To The Woods by @condra. A woman of beauty is a joy forever. People are the most beautiful of all the beautiful things in the world. This is exhibit A to back up my contention.

Special Prize: Hello Steemit From Quebec City by @kaynos. This new Steemian is a bus driver. My grandfather drove a city bus. I’m always going to support people like this, and I urge you to do the same.

As always, suggestions for posts to honor are gratefully accepted.

Rules of the Best Of:

I don't like grammar and spelling errors. I make them, but I hate them. Unless the post is supremely brilliant, even a couple of these--especially in the title--will mean it doesn't make this list. NOTE: if you're writing in your second language, significant slack will be given here. When I write in my second language, I'm lucky if I can be understood at all.

Minnows--I am a minnow, and I'm all in on support for the newbies. Doesn't mean I won't curate a whale post, but it's unlikely. If your rating is over 70, you don't need my help (for whatever it's worth).

I don't do porn, however artful.

Original content only.

I take requests. Gratefully. But not for your own work. Push someone else into the spotlight.

a lot of good content for me to read - Thank you!

BTW, can you take a look at @screenwriterml? He'e writing real good for free, perhaps b/c he's in a niche. How many screenwriters can there be on steemit? I suggested he try a more general writing tips post but so far it's not getting traction. He's got a lot to offer

I'll check him out for sure. Thanks for pointing him out.

Upvoted and resteemed because I feel the same way about @aggroed. What a gift to this community. :-)

He's got a lot of friends, but he's earned them.

Hi. Appreciated your work.
I, too, start doing a blog posts compilation every one or two days. I select and compile contents about books and reading.

You may check it out here :)
