STEEM-POCALYPSE SURVIVAL GAME CONTEST - SEASON 6 DAY 5 ROUND 2 - 375 SBD PRIZE POOL SO FAR
THIS POST IS PART OF AN ELIMINATION GAME – DO NOT REPLY TO IT UNLESS YOU ARE PLAYING
So, who was that man? Why did he have a chainsaw? Why did he have a beard? What was with the t-shirt?
Was he a friend or foe? Was he happy or demented? Should everyone just have chosen to shoot him?
DAY 5 ROUND 1 RESULTS
OPTION 1 - Try to run away. (For players with feet.)
Not even willing to give this man a chance to be friendly, many players just ran the other way. Thankfully, the man did not follow and they escaped.
The Players who chose Option 1 have now progressed to the next round.
OPTION 2 – Try to shoot the man. (For players with a gun.)
With a single shot, the players who chose this option shot the man dead with a single shot to the head. They have now used up one of their bullets, but they survived the round and safely made it past this man.
They also searched his body for goods, but the chainsaw was all that he had on him. Just as they were about to grab the chainsaw, they heard some loud barking behind them. It sounded as if a pack of dogs was rapidly approaching, perhaps coming to the defense of their master. Quickly, the players who chose this option ran off.
The players who chose Option 2 have now progressed to the next round.
OPTION 3 & OPTION 4
It looks like no players chose these options...
OPTION 5 - Try to answer positively and see what he shows you.
This was a popular answer, but was it wise?
The man had the players follow him a short distance. Then, he began to tell a tale.
"Look, I've lost a lot since this disaster started, and I've seen many people die unnecessarily. I think that it is a lot easier to feed people than it is to fight with them, so I have hand-written and illustrated some books on the common wild edibles around here."
"I will give you a copy now in hopes that it will help you and that you may be able to help others too."
With that, he sends the players on their way.
The players who chose Option 5 now have a "Plant Field Guide." In rounds where choosing whether to eat wild plants come up, these players can now use the "FIELD GUIDE" option and not have to choose themselves. Using this option will automatically choose the best option for the round.
The players who chose Option 5 now have a "Plant Field Guide." Please be sure to include it in your inventory.
DAY 5 ROUND 2 SCENARIO
Food and water are important in this game, so the players must choose to proceed in the direction that will most likely give them the best probability of success in locating these necessities.
As they evaluate the terrain, the players notice a gentle slope to the land. If they head uphill, they will get a better view of the terrain, but they may also be more visible to snipers on the ridges or other high vantage points.
If they head downhill, the probability of streams or ponds is increased. With water often comes life, whether plant or animal.
If they head back towards town, they may get gunned down like the players who tried to follow the outskirts of the city. Most of the water supply in town was also contaminated...
Hmm... How to proceed?
OPTIONS
OPTION 1 - Try to climb uphill.
OPTION 2 – Try to head downhill.
OPTION 3 – Try to head back to the city.
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY
All players who have signed up and want to play must reply to this post with 24 hours in order to avoid elimination and continue gameplay. All players must reply to my option comment below, not to this post. I will reply to my own posts with the options each in their own comments, and the players must reply to whichever comment has the option that they wish to choose.
IMPORTANT: The Backup Food Supplies are in one ration portions, which can feed one player and keep them alive for two days. Also, if for some reason you decide to change your choice prior to the 24 hour response time cutofff, please contact @novaatebatman to make sure you are registered under the correct option.
Also, please remember to include your inventory in your reply. Example:

As always, please remember that all outcomes are predetermined. In an elimination survival game, most of your are going to die eventually. Nothing personal.

Luckily enough the forester is an oasis of kindness in these tough times. We small-talk for a while and he passes me some invaluable survival literature to aid my trek. Taken aback by the gesture, I thank him deeply and we chat a bit more before wishing each other safe travels. I head onward, hoping to slake my thirst on a nearby river or some water-holding flora.

I'll use Option 2 to head downhill. My pistol with 8 rounds of ammo is handy, just in case, and my flashlight is tucked in my back pocket. I don't have to worry about food til Day 6, but maybe I'll find food and water this way.

Yes, the promises of easy water and lush greenery are also met with thoughts of Bears, and other not so friendly Humans waiting at the river... We got lucky with that Chainsaw man... (Thanks @mericanhomestead!) What a character...Thankfully the chainsaw guy helped us out with some survival literature. Lets venture higher, and see what hidden secrets await the top of the hill. I think this might be a bot account looking at all his comments. Most of his posts are either resteem or stuff flagged by Cheetah.
There are a lot of accounts that just copy and paste as well. This one seems more like a copy and paste account to me. Everyone report these spammers to @steemcleaners. If you're lucky, they'll even pay you a reward for doing so.
