What's Your Favorite Top 20-100 Blockchain? Ninelives #20

in #steem-bounty6 years ago

Hi Everyone,

This is the 20th post in the #ninelives series; a typical post explores nine reasons why a blockchain is great and could survive. We have discussed most of the top 20 coins and I want to move into the lesser known coins-so I am asking for suggestions. I am going to place a @steem-bounty on this post available to anyone who can suggest a coin I have not covered yet and provide a few reasons why it has utility.

There are many coins in the top 100 which have excellent potential. Please suggest one (or two) I haven't covered yet and a few reasons why you think it is great-you could take home some bounty. My latest #ninelives blog was about OmiseGO for example. I am not hoping for a comment that goes into too much detail, a few points are fine. I prefer to discuss coins with a market capitalizations of over 100 million dollars.

Thank you for reading and commenting below. I hope to have a few decent suggestions for upcoming posts, good luck!

Bye for Meow 😺 mRrrrrrrrrr...

Smartcash. Coin is easily transferable in it's on wallet app and there are many ways to earn coin. Stake, mining, or master node. There is also a voting system so that all holders of coin has opportunity to vote for what upgrades or updates to the smartcash platform will be. Thanks.

Smartcash looks interesting, I'll check it out. Thanks for your suggestion @mawit07

How about covering THETA or MANA? I wasn't following your blog so dunno if you have already covered tokens like BAT, Sia coin, Polymath, VeChain, Wanchain, Loom or 0x ...ooops, it's really difficult to name a lesser known coin from top 100. Had you covered Steem or BTS 😜 You should be writing about all 😊

You know your stuff, Polymath, Wanchain, Loom, Theta, Mana, and Ox all could be worthy to write up on. Which of the six is your most favorite and why?

Didn't you forget Steem/SBD?

Yes, I haven't covered it. It's best to hone ones skills before talking about a coin on a platform where there are hundreds of inhouse experts. It will definitely be featured one day soon 😺

Well the 2 darkhorses where I did invest in are Stratis (currently 46th at the CMC) and Neblio (139 at CMC). Both are blockchains trying to make it easier for companies to set up an own blockchain!
Both still are trying to work there way without to many of advertisement! If both could pull it off, my crypto journey could be considered a success!

Thanks @fullcoverbetting, I'll review them both and mention you if I write about them in the future. I've heard of Stratis and similar blockchains like OMG which is also trying to make it simple, like a Shopify of blockchains

Looking forward to it! Always nice to have some feedback about the investments :)

ZIL, WAVES, NANO, ONT, ARC, ZRX. Hell, I want to see all of them covered, it's just a question of what to cover first. Always that difficult question of do I cover the new and exciting ones or the old and steady ones. Also as a suggestion, don't overlook the exchange tokens (often the exchange is just an easy income source), forks and tethers. Every coin is unique and lovely in their own way and all have their merits.

If I had to pick a top coin to cover I would argue USDT. It has faced a lot of FUD, it seems to be coming legit and tethers are very important in crypto now to add some calm in a sea of volatility. I just hope to see pairs to non-USD fiats or even a basket of FIAT (USD, EUR, CNY, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD). Or if they want to be lazy just copy the SDR.

Those are all good coins. I already covered ONT here unfortunately tables don't work well with mobile browsers.
The idea is to go down the list but there are definitely some coins that are sitting in the 80s that are better than the ones in the 20s and I wanted to cover those first.
I don't know much about USDT but I don't think it is a good long-term project to invest in, best avoid it if you can. It will slowly drop in price relative to every other sucessful cryptocurrency and once there are better fiat-crypto pairs it will lose relevance.

Right. So don't hodl tether unless you can't exchange for fiat and want out. But a coin doesn't get to top 10 without purpose. So I will cover it. Please resteem ;) if I do lol.

Maybe you write about the idea behind populous. I like their take on the invoice topic.

Hey, Hark. Never heard about Populous, I'll check it out. Do you know why Populous needs it own blockchain? Or a few things about it that make it unique? Thanks for the suggestion

Actually no. I like the idea of buying and selling invoices on a secure net. I used to believe that they have an ERC20 Token, but it seems like they have their own blockchain with 2 Tokens. It is a unique way of investing money on short term contracts in my view

@crypticat friend and researched a little and there are many coins like; Peercoin, Dogecoin, Namecoin I think it would be good choices, greetings!

Thank you for your suggestions @mazasuarez, what makes Peercoin and Namecoin any good?

Peercoin (also called PPCoin, Peer-to-Peer Coin and abbreviated PPC) is a cryptographic currency or decentralized cryptocurrency that works very similar to Bitcoin. It can be used for all types of transactions and purchases online and in the "real world", as well as being useful for international transfers. Many people also use it for saving or for speculation.

I like the name

Si! el nombre suena genial, espero que lo tomes en cuenta amigo

Hello there :)
I didn`t see anyone suggest ETN. The guys there seem keen on making this a truly usable coin. I've kept an eye on them and also bought a few. Hope to see them soon in stores. They are currently trying to get stores to sign up for a beta testing phase. It seems a promising coin. Check it out :)

Thanks @greenra for bringing Electoneum to my attention, I like coins that aim to be widespread because they are cheap and easy to acquire. Do you know anything else which make it unique or good?

You're welcome. I agree, this is the type of coin that I hope will succeed.

What also makes them quite interesting, and I forgot to mention, is that they have a phone app which allows you to "mine". It's not real mining, of course, and they are clear about it, but you earn crypto by keeping it open. The app can be used to transfer and receive ETN, so this giveaway is partly a way in which they encourage people to use the app. The app is tuned so that the user will be able to make a few dollars worth of ETN per month.
I recommend watching some videos of their CEO. He explains their plans and why they chose to give free coins to the app users.

I don't know if it would be sort of "off topic" but I think it would be interesting if you took on DOGE coin. I mean, here's a coin basically started as a JOKE... and yet it has had a $2 billion market cap at one point... and everyone on the planet makes fun of it. Such fun!

But nobody takes it seriously!

Maybe not... but $2bn is some serious ching, so what gives?

=^..^=

Thanks for dropping by @curatorcat, I may write nine things which make a project lousy and include Doge on that list 😼 Doge had such a high market cap because it's a funny joke and an IQ test is required to invest in cryptos

I see you haven't included STEEM/SBD. You may want to add it into the list.
Another one you may consider is Dash Coin.

Hi @rjoshicool I've covered Dash here it's a great coin but a little too generous to the node holders 😸 Steem/SBD is definitely coming up. Do you know why SBD is necessary?

Sorry, I think there was some issue earlier as I couldn't see Dash. It is there correctly.
Steem is ranking very good. I recently read that in a Chinese exchange, they ranked it next to Bitcoin on 2nd number.

I see DASH on the list. It may be your browser orientation is cutting off some of the chart.
I second your idea to include STEEM/SBD. It is a very sad omission and I bet there are at least 9 points for each.
