El choque entre el fuego y el agua. Momento #21 / The clash between fire and water.
La marea está muy baja y han aparecido todas las rocas cubiertas de algas amarillas que normalmente están ocultas bajo el agua.
Las rocas pulidas por el batir del mar están ahora en superficie. Observo su porosidad. Están taladradas por multitud de agujeros.
Al retirarse el mar, se forman pequeñas estanques, como pequeñas piscinas que por algunos lugares desaguan en forma de chorros y pequeñas cascadas.
Los grandes cangrejos descansan en las plataformas de roca. Son muy grandes, del tamaño de la palma de una mano.
La isla de Tenerife es de origen volcánico. Todavía el Teide está activo y, en cualquier momento, podría entrar en erupción.
En los acantilados se observan las diversas coladas de roca volcánica que llegaron hasta el mar.
Los diversos estratos de lava volcánica atestiguan las sucesivas erupciones que han tenido lugar a lo largo de millones de años para formar estas islas en mitad de océano Atlántico, la parte mas occidental de Europa.
Los científicos creen que la corteza terrestre se fracturó en éste lugar hace 20 millones de años dejando fluir el magma sustrato de las Islas Canarias.
Me resulta curioso como unas erupciones producen un tipo de lava muy compacta y otras una roca con aspecto de conglomerado.
Sobre estos acantilados bate el mar continuamente, unas veces mas fuerte y otras mas flojo, pero, poco a poco, va limando la roca y la va oradando.
En el basalto, me llaman la atención unos orificios, como respiraderos, producidos probablemente al hervir el agua al entrar en contacto con la lava volcánica incandescente y fluida. Probablemente, la rápida condensación hizo que se formaran esos orificios e irregularidades.
Me pregunto hace cuantos millones de años se produjo esa efervescencia. Ese choque entre el fuego y el agua que dió lugar a esta tierra.
The clash between fire and water
The tide is very low and all the rocks covered in yellow algae that normally are hidden under the sea have appeared.
The rocks polished by the beating of the sea are now on the surface. I watch your porosity. They are drilled by a multitude of holes.
When the sea retires, small ponds are formed, like small pools that in some places drain in the form of jets and small waterfalls.
The big crabs rest on the rock platforms. They are very large, about the size of the palm of a hand.
The island of Tenerife is of volcanic origin. Still the Teide is active and, at any moment, it could erupt.
In the cliffs you can observe the different volcanic rock flows that reached the sea.
The various strata of volcanic lava testify to the successive eruptions that have taken place over millions of years to form these islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the westernmost part of Europe.
Scientists believe that the earth's crust fractured in this place 20 million years ago, leaving the magma substrate of the Canary Islands to flow.
I find it curious how some eruptions produce a very compact type of lava and others a rock with a conglomerate aspect.
On these cliffs the sea beats continually, sometimes stronger and sometimes looser, but, little by little, the rock is filing and praying.
In the basalt, I am struck by holes, such as vents, probably produced by boiling the water when it comes into contact with incandescent and fluid volcanic lava. Probably, the rapid condensation caused these holes and irregularities.
I wonder how many millions of years ago there was that effervescence. That clash between the fire and the water that gave rise to this eart.
Proyecto “Momentos”
El proyecto “Momentos” es una idea propia para desarrollar en Steemit. Pretendo describir, con unas cuantas fotos y unas pocas frases, lo que sucede en un determinado momento puntual.
Del mismo modo que la fotografía congela el instante, mi reto es describir un fragmento de tiempo con una serie limitada de fotografías y unas pocas frases.
Habitualmente, los momentos se acompañan de sentimientos o emociones, e intentaré plasmarlos también en este reto.
Como si fuera un haiku japonés, me he propuesto describir, de una manera sencilla, el asombro y la emoción que me produce la contemplación de la naturaleza.
Esa es la idea y espero que os guste.
"Moments" Project
The project "Moments" is an idea that I had to develop in Steemit. I intend to describe, with a few photos and a few sentences, what happens at a specific moment.
In the same way that photography freezes the moment, my challenge is to describe a fragment of time with a limited series of photographs and a few sentences.
Habitually, the moments are accompanied by feelings or emotions, and I will try to capture them in this challenge as well.
As if it were a Japanese haiku, I have proposed to describe, in a simple way, the amazement and emotion that the contemplation of nature gives me.
That's the idea and I hope you like it.

Cómo lo hago
Hice las fotografías con mi iPhone X. Disparé la foto en modo “retrato” con Luz de escenario “mono”. Para la edición utilicé la aplicación Snapseed y para la firma digital usé la App Watermark.
Los dibujos los hice en el iPad con el programa Sketches.
For the photography I use my iPhone X. I shot the photo in "portrait" mode with "mono" stage light. For edition I use the Snapseed application and for the digital signature the Watermark app.
Everything I did on my mobile phone, I did not use the computer at all.
For the drawings, I use the Sketches program and paint them on the tablet.

La naturaleza su sabiduría y belleza. Como algo que en su momento pudo llenar de terror luego se convierte un mundo nuevo y paradisíaco. Excelente fotografías.
Has puesto correctamente las palabras a aquello que sentí pero no supe expresarlo. El acantilado sobrecoge porque imaginamos lo que debió ser aquel choque entre la lava incandescente y el gélido mar. Muchas Gracias por tu visita. Un abrazo 🤗
