I Slept Until Noon

These days I wake up at 10am the latest, which is early for me. I used to always sleep as long a possible, and waking up before noon on a day off or when I had an evening shift, was a rarity.

It's funny how my sleeping schedule has changes so dramatically compared to my previous life. I used to sleep in late when ever I could and for as long as possible, taking three hours naps every day, and only sleeping a few hours at night. I was always tired, always.

Now that I have the possibility to sleep in every day if I want to and take naps when ever I want to, I don't. I sleep a solid 6 to 8 hours almost every night, and only take naps here and there. It's wonderful how my quality of sleep has improved since quitting the normal job and becoming a full time Steemian. Now if I sleep late or take a nap, I get an after nap moral hangover, something I never experienced before! I finally understand what @escapist was talking about all those years when she said she hated taking naps.

Last night when I fell asleep after 3am, I decided I'm just gonna sleep for as long as I feel like, and not give a fuck. But this one time I sleep late, I missed two calls from mom and when I finally picked up, she said she was in town and coming over. Fuuuuck. I was not planning on spending the day with mom, because I have work to do. I knew she was coming but I though it would be closer to 5pm because we have an appointment to go to. I hear the car pulling in, gotta go...

So what did I learn here? DO NOT sleep late! Early bird catches the worm and all that shit.

Ps. the picture is not from this morning, took it last week at homehome. I don't own Moomin pillowcases or yellow sheets.

To me, I am trying not to sleep at night for more enjoyment with playing phone and as the result, a headache in the morning!

Yeah... I can imagine it feels good this way! I'm normally a night person too... Unfortunately, traffic and clients make me get up at 4:45am each morning. Which actually is closer to the time I would normally go to sleep....

I do not miss those 4.45 wake ups, that is what I had to do on my previous job. Hardly had any time to sleep when going to be after 2am. Hope you don't have to do it for too long.

NAh, only the last... 6 years or so ;-) But it’ll get better! If the steem gets going ;-) lol

Wao!!! what a nice sharing. It was really a tragic not sleeping in time but sometimes we cant help it.
I use to sleep late as well, But the thing is that, anytime i sleep late I woke up by 4.am or thereabout which i don't normally find it really cool,
As for nap??? "Oh No" i find it disgusting
Reason why i hate nap is that sometimes i look at it as if Am only wasting my time resting while "i have not make a whole lot of money", though its fun while at work.
i prefer my eyes open while at the day time. I also believe what @escapist says about hating taking nap.

As for me i advice
"DO NOT SLEEP LATE!" FOR THAT YOU WILL WAKE UP EARLY!!! @eveuncovered have some fun

Hello friend @eveuncovered, how tasty it is to have the freedom to choose the time to work and rest, those of us who have a schedule that we rest less even if we get to sleep more, must be the concern to comply with the 8 hours of work and also do the household chores. It is a dream to be our own boss, hahahaha. Of course, everything has its difficulties because you depend on how much you can produce with your work, but you are free and you have control of your time and your life, you are an entrepreneur.

Sleep is a very important factor of healthy living so if you dont get the necessary amount of sleep there will be ripple effect on your health. Also constant sleeping late deprives the body the needed amount of sleep specially when you have to jump off from your bed to catch early morning bus or train so that you wont be late for work. Just try and take the right amount of sleep it will refresh you up in the morning. Sincere post I must say @eveuncovered

Wow! If I am able to sleep until 7am on my days off (which area almost non-existent), I feel fortunate. Such is the life of a farmer.

I come from the countryside, so I know what it's like, even though we never had farm animals to take care of.
