7-Day Black and White Photo Challenge - Day 4

What's a man to do when he's nominated by the wonderful @dreemit to a 7-day Black and White Challenge? I don't think there's anything else one can do but say "I accept," so I did. Gladly, I might add! :D

So, without further ado, here is my entry for today:

day4

Usually, this is the part where I write a long explanation or I write a (relatively) short story to complement the photo, but this time I won't ;) As to why, I won't even bother to explain... or maybe I will haha!

Here are the rules:

  • 7 black & white images that represent an aspect of your life (makes sense)
  • Present one image every day for seven days (as expected)
  • No people (I can live with that)
  • No explanation (whew!)
  • Nominate someone every day. Although anyone can join in, be sure to use the tag: #sevendaybnwchallenge as one of your five (do I have to?)

If you want to join in on the fun, let me know in the comments section! As for my nomination for today, drumroll please...

Yeah, you better run!

First off, I accept the challenge! Secondly, I have no idea what is going on in that gif lol

Great! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! I know it's going to be creative as heck! :D

Who knows what' going on in the GIF. The only thing we truly know is that we'll never know haha!

Thankfully I was a middle distance runner (mile, halfmile) and so I generally never had to use blocks. I also ran the 400, but that was usually in a relay, so still no use for blocks. But once I was in spain at a track meet and for some reason I ended up having to do the normal 400 and start from blocks - I probably looked about as bad as this guy using them lol

Oh for real? Ha! I thought it was just an alias! I was a sprinter as well, but gravitated toward marathons way after my short-lived career haha! I never had big accomplishments as a sprinter though, mainly because I focused on swimming.

yep, ran from middle school through college; most of my life was running lol now I do no running at all! I try to play some basketball to stay in decent shape; I play kickball and softball when the spring and summer roll around.

Is it safe to say that you've run away from running? Haha! Basketball is the most optimal option for me here. Other team sports require more time investment than I can afford.

lol, that is exactly right. If only you lived here you could play on my monday pick up games :)

That would've been swell! Oh well, I hope that one day we could shoot hoops even if it's just for a game or two :D

I don't even have a camera that will take black & white, but I like looking at them.

I don't use that function either haha! I'm going to let you in on a little secret... I just manipulate the photo digitally using software to make them black and white haha! Oh, and here's another secret you might want to have a look at: https://steemit.com/sevendaybnwchallenge/@jedau/7-day-black-and-white-photo-challenge-day-5

That tower thing is begging to be climbed all over XD Interesting looking building (or is it a bunch of buildings?) you're in (or perhaps among). I'm trying to understand the tree with the angel thing on it, is that painted or sculpted on? It's gonna drive me nuts for the next couple of minutes (perhaps fortunate my attention span is almost non-existant today XD)

It's gonna drive me nuts for the next couple of minutes

It's great that I was able to see the reply the next day hahahaha!

We did climb the tower, it's way less taller in person. It was only about 20 meters tall, I think. We climbed a different bell tower that was way taller earlier that day, so that was a more exhausting climb. This is actually part of a church complex, near the entrance I think. Climbing this one was really tiring, considering you had to walk up eight flights of stairs haha! The thing with Jesus (yes, not an angel haha) is actually a .......................... bas relief on the wall :D

Awesome picture! And I am going to be binge reading and commenting/responding very soon, these last few days have been jam packed with relatives while still maintaining the winter business on top of my getting a nasty head cold, blech.

I'll be back in the swing of things shortly!

Ach! Sad to hear the head cold is in play. Man, winter must be really hard. I don't know if my tropical body would be able to survive it haha! I'm sure you have a mountain of replies to get to, so get to mine at your leisure, sis! Thanks for taking the time to let me know though. Feel better!

Lol, this is a fine entry! I love the angel thing in the tree. I think my inner art lover is broken though!

It's actually a bas relief of Jesus haha! I can't believe the Stormtroopers were finally able to hit something, after years of famous misses! It was great to have Art Lover Boom (or Albie) on board for a couple of days though. His dissection of the photographs have left an indelible mark that would never be forgotten. That is, until our digital overlords wipe the STEEM blockchain clean cleanse the filthy internet.

Hehe, the perils of phone browsing! I zoomed in. Yes, it is indeed our Jesus. Flying about doing the do!

Or, he's picking a fight with someone and he's all like "come at me, bro!"

The tangible and the intangible, where the tangible world meets the intangible. We see and yet we don't.

Cryptic words! I see your comment and I appreciate it, but I'm looking forward to your own B&W pics, my friend!

Like the leaning tower of Pisa only different.

Haha the lean was on me. I tried being a bit artsy with the angle so I tilted it a bit haha That bell tower is actually as straight as they come!
