Diary of My Grandson - Thru Video Calls

Being a grandmother is a wonderful feeling. What is hard is when the grandkids are far away.

I am a single mom with one daughter now working in the USA for 3 years. She got married here and was able to petition her husband. Within a year she got pregnant. It was hard for me she had a difficult pregnancy. But at least my younger brother and wife supported her and some other relatives and friends.

So now everyday she would call me and lets me talk to my grandson. The first 3 months were not so interesting because he could barely see and respond.

But lately it got more fun and interesting. I was able to experience his first feeding of baby food. and his first teeth. The 2 lower ones are almost all out.

Now my daughter said the top teeth might be coming out soon. His lower started to come out around 6 mos., now he will be 7 mos on the 19th.

I think he is eating applesauce . He likes his veggies, peas, carrots and squash. Banana, applesauce and she will try peach soon.

I am thankful for technology. Now we can watch our grandchildren go up. They can see us too so when you meet personally, they will recognize you. Unlike before you can only see recordings and not interaction. When we start our video call and he sees me I can see his smile and laughter. That alone can make your day or night.

I will be posting occasionally some things about my grandson until I get to meet him in person.
