What is a "BraaiBroodjie"? The closest translation for a "BraaiBroodjie" would be a "BBQ Grilled Sandwhich".

I recently spent a month in Europe following the Springboks on tour with The Braai Army, and while every good Saffa knows how to make braaibroodjies, we did bump into a lot of their spouses for whom the concept was completely foreign. The topic came up quite a bit.

So for all my new non-Saffa friends: Check out the first braaibroodjie... It's a classic.. Cheese, Onion and Tomato. Give it a try and impress your other half. "Voor ek jou oopmond soen, sê my kan jy braaibroodjies maak". 😉

Of course a braaibroodjie doesn't have to stop there... if you want to get a little more adventurous, then check out the second braaibroodjie that I make... It's a dagwood-style little piece of heaven!
