Daily run #679 [#runningproject & #runforsteem]
I barely found time to do my minimum of 2 km yesterday, so I went late in the evening. The day was full of events and errands. I changed my accountant so there was a lot of stuff related to taking tasks over to the new accountant. Plus errands related to new furniture. Another run related element in the day was buying a pair of new running shoes. I am waiting for these beautiful babies... I am trying out a new brand. It should fit fine all my specifics of my feet and running habits - looking forward to get them in a few days! Some days are about running from errant to errant and daily run is just another short run at the end of the day 😊.
Question for you: "How disciplined / flexible are you with your running schedule? And what helps you?"
A small good deed is still a good deed!
I am still learning to use my new watch, so just in case I used also Runtastic and it is good I did. I did not stop the watch at the end of run (I thought I did, but I did not) so pace and all is wrong there. It was short, swift run due to lack of time. And it was a bit more than 2 km, I just did not start the measurment on phone in the beginning - so all is fine ;)
I've been running each and every day since the end of May 2016. The Running Streak continues and you can see and follow my daily pics also here: daily runs since 30th of May 2016.
I am honored, happy and proud to be part of Runningproject. @runningproject is a diverse community of runners on Steemit. You might get a better picture of who I am and what I do and aspire for if you read some of my other posts: So to be short and sweet, my introduction in #-form would look like this:
In few words...
I joined Steemit in December 2017. @blockchain48 introduced me to it and explained to me how it works and why I could enjoy it. And I do enjoy it! I like the diversity and spirit of Steemit!
My main topic here is running. I also work on @runningproject (initiator of the project is @toofasteddie) as a Running Witness. I also regularly apply my running posts in #runforsteem challenge. I also post about origami and GTD (Getting Things Done).
- My core daily habit is running. If you do not run yet and would like to try it... I've written a blog: Manual for wannabe runners, where you can find tips and tricks, how to start running.
- As a Streak Runner, I wanted to share more information about this specific running approach. You can read more about Streak Running in my blog All you wanted to know about Running Streak - part 1, part 2 and part 3.
- I am revealing about my first steps in running arena in this post: How I started to run or can a workaholic and sedentary couch potato become a marathon runner?.
- I am certified GTD trainer so occasionally I write about Gettint Things Done methodology.
- I love origami and here is my post about the art of folding papers or what anybody should know about it.
- This was my introduction post on Steemit: 2018 is here! Any New Year's resolutions? And who am I to write about this?.

Great work!
Thanks 😊
You've changed your layout, looks very structured! How can you buy shoes that you haven't tried? I find that so risky, where did you buy them, on that site that you linked?
I am a structured person :) And still, I do not mind a bit of risk here and there... which relates to your worry about the riskiness of buying shoes that I haven't tried. Not too worried... They have a very user-friendly policy to change the shoe if it does not fit. Yes, I bought them on Running Warehouse Europe.
Hmm I might try that in the future as well. @toofasteddie mentioned mizuno's and I saw they sold those there. The prices are also much cheaper than here in Switzerland. Thanks for the advice!
Yes, prices are more than reasonable and delivery service was always more than excellent so far (fast, all in line with order...). So I have only great experience with them!
Do you know Zalando? I like to order with them, the prices are generally in line or a bit higher with the rest of the market here, but I am talking about an expensive market in general. I love the fact that I can send everything back for free, so I order several sizes and whatever doesn't fit I send back and THEN I pay for the item(s) I keep. I will try them out though once I need new shoes again.
Interesting. Well, in general, I have not had issues regarding size so far. On Running Warehouse they have very good conversion tables for sizes of different shoes and a lot of instructions how to measure your feet in cm and convert it to the size for running shoes. It worked perfectly so far.
Run like a happy cat!
