Eating raw carrots strengthens teeth and gums. In addition, fluoride, present in foods such as carrots, spinach or apples, is an essential mineral to care for dental enamel. The carrot is a legume with numerous advantages in our body, rich in carotenoids, antioxidants, nourishes and protects the skin.

It contains a lot of water so it is hypocaloric. Prevents degenerative processes of the skin by its high content of carotenes favors tanning. Carotenes have great dietary virtues and at the same time protect the skin from the negative influence of the sun. They keep the skin hydrated and give it a tan.

Eating carrots a few days before sunbathing helps protect the epidermis as its beta-carotene activates melanin production. The best carrots are the smallest. These are usually sold tied in bunches with green leaves. It is advisable to cook any type of carrot without peeling. Instead it is recommended to wash them thoroughly and scrape them superficially.

In Venezuela we have very good crops of carrots, in cold climates are given easily and the tuber acquires many properties depending on the land where it develops. The qualities of carrots are many, its consumption is definitely healthy and delicious.

That's why I leave a simple and delicious recipe to consume carrots to the fullest. Parmesan carrots.

Ingredients

  • 600 grams of carrots
  • 50 grams of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • 1 teaspoon chopped basil.
  • 1 lemon.
  • Oil.
  • Salt.

Preparation

Scrape the carrots and put them in a pot with boiling water and salt. Sprinkle with lemon juice and cook for 15 minutes over medium heat. Drain and let cool. Slice diagonally. In a frying pan, heat 1 glass of oil and add the carrots. Sauté for 5 minutes. Drain almost all the oil. Add the grated cheese and cook for 2 more minutes. Sprinkle with chopped basil.

This recipe besides being healthy, vegan is very rich and tasty on the palate. I hope you like it.

Hmmmm... I don't trust that fluoride stuff. It's not random that putting fluoride in the water in considered to be a crime, over here. Yeah, I know that's common in the US... but in Europe, that stuff is pretty much banned from every country.
