Hello lovely Steemians

Its time for another episode of Read Between The Wines - Anything and everything book related and maybe a little bit of wine as well!

It's seems such a while since I posted.. Life has been a bit crazy our way. As many of you know we've been going through a fair bit of intense stuff over the last few months with @cryptoandzen's father on chemo, and the whole adoption process thing just for starters. I got right back into my reading as one way to just escape and chill out for a while. And with that of course comes all the other bits and pieces I get tend obsessed with (Yes I can see - a lot of my angst probably comes from just not letting go.. I have always got to take a whole lot of other stuff)

So with reading of course it's been my book review blog site, Good Reads - all the free Advanced reader copies I've got to review plus bookstagram and all the photos, props and everything that goes along with that. (Our house is being taken over by silk flowers, candles, funko pop toys, paper butterflies - anyone would think the two year old was here already. Oh yeah and an old bird cage!

So the new thing I have discovered with all this bookish obsession are BOOK BOXES!

Yes something else for me to get all obsessive about!

So just what is a book box?

Book Boxes - which generally come in a monthly subscription are for the book obsessed. It is generally a themed box that has a new release - often signed - book and related bookish items such as book marks, candles, jewellery, totebags, cushion covers, coffee mugs, lipgloss, and tea to name just a few types of items you might see.. Most boxes come with between 5 to 10 items depending on the price of the box.

If you are a bookstagrammer then these are perfect because everyone is always looking for props to add some interest to their photos.

There are book boxes for almost every genre - I tend to stick to fantasy themed boxes and they range in price from around $29 to $59. Depending on where they are based and where they are shipping to postage can be pretty hefty though!

The book boxes support not only the author but also many of the creative shops you'll find on Etsy that do book themed goods such as bookmarks, candles and mugs which seem to be the most popular - based on my research of course.. not my purchasing :)

So here are some of the more popular boxes around

  1. Owlcrate - https://www.owlcrate.com/

hey ... now i know, it turns out your father @cryptoandzen. we often interact through postings in steemit. much of my knowledge can be from him, especially about health, hopefully, will continue @shellyduncan. oyaa...h, read your writing implied anxiety there, hopefully quickly over.

Oh thanks for your kind thoughts.. it's actually his father who is sick.. @cryptoandzen is my husband! Thankfully he is okay!

Hopefully not soon recover, let me quickly interact back mutual share knowledge

O my god, I'm soory. I pray that he will recover quickly. In our belief, prayer is important in achieving a desire

When spare time reading books is an alternative expertise to add to the corpus of knowledge and a real, very nice so that Burnout is resolved

Yes do not break up the most important is the spirit in running life remains serious, a very good post, hopefully you succeed.

thank you so much!

Oo..Yes..I hope Mr. @cryptoandzen recover quickly, we hope Mr. @cryptoandzen and mother @shellyduncan healthy always and can move as usual.

A fellow bookstagrammer...YAY!! I'm brand new to steemit and just so happy I'm finding accounts that I can follow. Love the kitties and I'm gonna go follow your bookstgram account now too :D I'm still feeling pretty lost on how it all works and a tad bit overwhelmed with all the info on here, but getting more and more excited!! :)

It takes a little while but is worth keeping at it.. definitely worth finding some of the communities. I haven't checked if there is a bookstagram community on here.. if I find one I'll let you know. What's your Insta so I can follow?

I found you on Bookstagram :)

oops just saw this after I replied below :)

By the way, what is your instagram handle? I can't find a link to it :) I love all the book boxes...unfortunately it is not all that affordable to ship to South Africa...but we've got a few here luckily. I love the book boxes even if I can just watch unboxings...lol.

readbetweenthewinesclub is my instagram. I have to say it's been a bit neglected with other things I've had going on but hoping to get back to it soon. I do love doing the photos! I think we need to find more bookstagrammers and get them on Steemit :)

Yesss, it would be so awesome if we could have a bookstagram community here. I'm already trying to get the word out :) I think the bookstagram bloggers, booktubers and writers can benefit so much here :)

Hopefully not soon recover, let me quickly interact back mutual share knowledge

Oo..Yes..I hope Mr. @cryptoandzen recover quickly, we hope Mr. @cryptoandzen and mother @shellyduncan healthy always and can move as usual.

but the books that you put together with your artistic skills, suitable to be parcels to be given to people we really like the nerdy

This is so pretty!

these are great options for book boxes and I really like the creativity put into them. Especially like the one where you get to learn more about the author and that you can find a box to fit your favorite genres. Thanks for the thoughtful post! Sending prayers too. :)
